Q: Low Fetal Weight

Our doctor says baby is not at normal weight. Wife is 27 weeks pregnant and doctor estimates baby is 1lb. Can anyone share similar experience? Wife is normal weight and perhaps gaining a few more lbs than forecasted but i'm concerned with baby weighing 1lb at 27 weeks?? :?
