Not Sure!?!
Posted: 11-21-03 02:14am

Hi
my girlfriend told me that it hurts when she urinates. I have only had one other sexual partner without protection and we both got checked after that and how she thinks I given her something Sad . Should I be worried that she gave me something. If so what? Thanks

Hi james,

i'm terribly sorry to hear about your situation. It sounds as though your girlfriend might be suffering from a simple urinary tract infection. Most women will experience it at some stage in their lives and you can rest assured that it is not your fault, as it is not considered to be a sexually transmitted disease. Many women who are not sexually active are also at risk of getting a urinary tract infection. Your girlfriend can go to any drug store and purchase powders that are dissolved in water to treat the urinary tract infection. She will not need a prescription for the powders, although it would be a good idea for your girlfriend to visit her doctor for a checkup anyway. It should start to clear up within 3 - 4 days from starting the treatment, but it is very important she treats the infection immediately as it can work it's way up to her kidneys, which can be incredibly painful.

Good luck...

Suzy

Also make sure your girlfriend pees after sex, that also helps to prevent urinary tract infections.

She told me she has something called trix(not sure if I spelled it right). I never heard of this before. Does anyone know what this is and if I am at risk? Crying

If it is what I think it is, it is trichomonias (or however you spell it) definately a curable std...Unlike the one im stuck with (hpv) so I guess in a oxy-moronic way....You guys are lucky. Good luck with that and get cured!
