Hey everyone,
im a new member to this wonderful invention and need some medical advice! Well when I was 3 weeks old (i know a long time ago) I had double hurnia surgery on my ovaries. As a result the doctors told said there was a chance I might no be able to have children. Well here it is years later I have a menstrual cycle and I ovulate. Good signs for being able to have children right? Well this is the problem my fiancee and I are ready and eager to have children, ive stopped my birth control method and for the past eight months we have been trying to have a baby, but unfortunately we haven't had even the slightest bit of luck:(!! My fiancee and I are worried I might not be able to have kids? Am I doing something wrong? Why is this so difficult???

Persey, don't get upset. My boyfriends mum was told she couldn't have children and 10 years later, my fella came along, two years later, a brother!

I am in a similar situation. I have had problems with my ovaries for years and am concerned that I won't be able to have children but am now talking the line of thought that it will happen when the time is right. You aren't doing anything wrong!

It's hard when you are trying to conceive to think of anything other than getting pregnant, and that is why I come on here....Makes me feel like I am achieving something and I am learning all the time.

I would suggest going to see your doctor and discussing this situation with him. I understand that they don't start looking at possible problems until you've been trying for a year or more (well thats how it is in the uk).

Try taking a holiday, or something to relax you.... Perhaps a break from the norm is all you need.

Good luck and let us know how you get on.
Xx
