Stupid Or Cute Idea For a Wedding?
Posted: 07-29-05 01:25am

Hey everyone,
i'm getting married next june and ive thought of an idea for my wedding. Im having an outdoor summer wedding and thought it would be neat for everyone at the wedding to be wearing flip-flops! Everyone, even me and my soon to be husband. I've told some people about my idea and some like it and some don't. I wanted to do something different. Just so I have a better idea on whether or not I should do this tell me what you think...Stupid or cute idea for the wedding???

I think that it is a great idea!!...Having a wedding with something different such as flip flops will help everyone always remember your wedding..And if for no other reason at all...Its your wedding do whatever makes you happy...

I wore flip flops at my wedding! No one else but my sister and I did but it was great. I like in socal and people always always do that sort of thing. Thats not weird at all. I had my nice high heels to wear but at the last minute I was like hmm im standing up there for 20 minutes and no one can really see my feet, do I want to wear shoes that hurt? Nope ended up wearing white flip flops! I went to a wedding last year where all the wedding party wore flipflops. It was really cute. Maybe just have all your bridesmaids and groomsmen and you and your hubby wear em.

Good luck

*make them match the dresses and tuxes and wear the same ones. This way its cute not tackey

Maybe tell your guests its a part of the theme, mabe get them to wear shorts and nice t-shirts, and have seashells and ocean stuff for the theme as well... Just a suggestion tho :)

Hey last july 22nd I got married and my whole wedding party wore flip flops. You can find some really classy ones. Although there were no white mens flip flops and my husband had a white tux so I had to spray paint them but it worked. I think that if you are both flip flop kinda people than you should def. Wear them plus they make fun wedding pics. On the big day I decided to be as much myself as possible I even dyed my hair back to its original color. Lol. Its all about being perfect for eachother just the way you are.
