Edometriosis 1ovary1falopian Tube Can I Conceive Posted: 11-21-03 12:09pm
I am a 30 year woman. I have been
diagnosed with edometriosis. I have had
two surgery. The last one two years ago
and had to have my right ovary and
falopian tube removed do to extensive
damage. I have been trying to get
pregnant for about 9 mos and so far no
success, my doctor seems to think that I
still have a pretty good chance of having
a baby however I am not so sure. If there
is anyone out there who has been through
this please send feed back. I greatly
appreciate it.
Be blessed

I am not currently trying to get pregnant,
but have the same disease. I have done
extended research on it and this is what I
have found. Yes, you still can get
pregnant. It is a lot harder to get
pregnant with the disease and even if you
do conceive complications are highly
possible. I hope you do not have either
of the above problems, but be prepared.
Have you had any recent laproscopy to see
much of the extra tissue has grown back?
You may have to get it removed again to be
able to conceive.

I have this disease also.
7 years ago, my (now ex) husband and I
tried to conceive together. I have a
son, he's 18, and at 18 when I had him, I
did not know I had this disease then.
When we were trying, we soon realized
something was wrong. I went to a
fertility specialist, and I shared with
him my painful period stories and strange
bleeding. He then ordered a laparoscopy.
Through that test, it was conclusive I
had it. My left ovary was damaged and
one of my tubes was completely blocked.
They removed the excess tissue with a
laser and he told us to get started right
after my recovery process to try and get
pregnant.
To no avail.
We were then asked if we wanted to procede
with infertility treatment; we opted not
to.
It is very difficult to get pregnant with
endometreosis. But it is possible.
Make sure, if you're really wanting to get
pregnant, see a very knowledgeable
specialists on this disease.
Good luck to you!

Hello I am only 25 and was diagnosed with
this disease when I was 21. I was told
that the pain was all in my head and then
I went to a new doctor and I went in for
sugery. I had my left ovary and tube
removed, also I went thru induced
menopause for 7 months, I lost half my
hair, shrunk a inch, started sagging where
I shouldn't and lost a cup size. Now I
am married and been trying for 1 year to
get pregnant and nothing yet. I thought
I was alone but am
very happy to find someone to talk to
about this :p . My doctor now tells me I
will get pregnant but my body has to get
back in the groove of my age and I had to
get all my hormones back. maybe we can help
each other.
Good luck with you efforts

We tried for 3 1/2 years- boom! Our first
child.
We tried for 6 years after that. Boom!
Our second child.
Endometriosis, one fallopian tube left,
after two c-sections, endometriosis
removed three times.
Three doctors told me that I could not
conceive at all. So much for their
degrees.
Dr. Jill flood in virginia beach virginia
can help alost anyone with fertility.
She the best, affordable, and honest. She
doesn't mess around with your heart when
it comes to conception.
Try not to let those doctors open you up
too much. It makes the endometiosis grow
faster and more predominant than before.
I know-i am now battling the ovulation
pain. And to think that I used to worry
when I was- or if I was ovualting. I know
when I do, which is kinda nice not having
to buy those kits that tell you when. Too
bad hubby is in iraq right now.
