Freaking Out What Are the Chances Its Wrong

Okay before I get the lectures let me just
say that I have been using protection and
I was about to go on birth control. This
morning I don't know what it was but
something told me to take a hpt. I've had
really sore nipples but I get that as a
period symptom too and a sore lower back
which I never get. So I took the test and
it was positive. I mean the one line is
really dark the second line is very faint
but clearly visible. Now I know that this
is a pointless question but whats the
chances that its a false positive or not a
positive at all cause the line is really
faint and this happened to me before I
thought I saw a second line but now that I
see this one I mean I can actually see
this one... Sorry i'm babbling but this
is a total shock and i'm a little scared.
Just... Is there anyway that it could be
wrong?

Its possible for it too be wrong highly
unlikely though, but your best chance if
you need to know right now is get another
one possibly another brand and try again
if it comes up positive again than you
are. Hope that helps

The only time this month that I had sex
was on the 17th. So I mean technically
i'd only be 2 weeks along but my last
period was july 1-7 so they would count
that as 4 weeks, right? So thats a reason
the line is so faint because I don't have
enough hormone for a darker line. I've
never been regular and if I went by when I
thought my period should show up i'm only
3 days late. But usually I get really bad
cramps before my period and I havent'
gotten them so thats kinda what made me
think something was off. I'm just so
confused I mean I want to test again but
maybe I should wait a week so the hormone
can get stronger?

Did you have sex before you last period
some ppl still get there period even if
they are pregnant so say if you had sex
20/6 you may still have got your period
and now that would make you about 5 weeks
but yeah your right your hormones may not
be high enough right now but its still
highly unlikely your not pregnant if there
was 2 lines is it a bad thing if you are
pregnant? If you dont mind me asking

I don't know if its a bad thing... I mean
my family is going to be shocked I know
that but I also know that once it wears
off I will have their support 100%. And I
am finacially able to care for a baby.
And I know that it takes a lot to raise a
baby but really money won't be a problem.
If I am for sure pregnant theres no choice
for me but took keep it. I mean I don't
believe in abortion and I could never
carry a baby for 9 months and then give it
away. If I am then I am and i'll deal
with it and love it. It's just going to
be hard to tell the father because I know
he didn't want kids, but he also told me
once that if it ever happened that he
wouldn't just walk away from his
responsibilities and hed want to be a part
of its life. I'm not going to say
anything to him until I know for sure
though and then I guess we'll see if he
really meant it.

Ok well as I said before if you wana know
before you can go to the doctors than
maybe buy another and get another brand
this time but even if it is negative its
still a good idea to go to the doctors
anyway if you dont mind but how old are
you?

Hey there!
You said you only had sex with him once
this month, on the 17, with the first day
of your last period being on the first.
The 17th would have been on or right
around your most fertile day (which would
explain why you have a good chance of
being pregnant lol). Have you taken
another test? Has it come back
positive?

Hey, no I haven't taken another test yet
(have to wait for the stores to open at
noon). And I do want to test again but
i'm thinking maybe I should wait a couple
days. Right now i'm just so confused
about it all. I mean already i'm
questioning the things I should do or
shouldn't do or drink or shouldn't drink
lol. It's crazy. I mean I drink a lot of
diet pepsi but I don't think its good for
the baby is it?
Congrats on your pregnancy by the way and

It might be a good idea to wait a few more
days... Do you know what day your period
would be due on? Do you have a 28 day
cycle? I do and my last period started
on june 30th, I was due for my period on
july 28th.. I missed it. If you have
the same cycle as me, your period should
of started on friday. Usually any time
you test after a missed period, it will
come up positive if your pregnant.
As for drinking alot of diet pepsi.. I
dont think you have to stop drinking it,
but you will definitely have to start
drinking more water. I am the same way,
I drink alot of regular coke lol, but
hydration is really important while
pregnant. I already had 2 cokes
today... But here I am trying to chug
down a 16.9 fl oz bottle of water haha.

My periods aren't regular but I should
have gotten it around thursday so i'm 3
days late. But sometimes I can be a
couple days to a week late, although when
I have tested before when I was late i've
never got a positive result. Once I
thought I did but the test messed up and
all the other ones came back negative. So
if I am I guess i'm about 4 weeks
pregnant. That just sounds so weird
:roll:
thank god for not having to give up diet
pepsi lol. I don't drink much water but
i'll be sure to now. Thanks for all your
help. Btw how far along are you?

I couldn't hold off so I took another test
and the second line was still there, a
little fainter than the first time
(probably because it wasn't first morning
urnine) but still visible. So I guess
that means i'm pregnant. I'm going to try
and get a doc appointment for wednesday.
This all just seems to overwhelming....

That's usually the first sign of being
pregnant, your boobs really hurt,
especially when your nipples get hard, on
my period I never had sore boobs, so when
I got sore boobs I knew from the start.
I was on a form of birth control when I
got pregnant!
