Anarexia And Pregnancy Please Help Please Help!!!

Anorexia could maybe somewaht harm the baby..The baby needs nutrition and food..The same thing the mother should have..If she is throing her fod up..The baby will get food..But not as much as he needs..And pregnant woman usually have cravings for all sorts of stuff..So a diet and anorexia should be th last thing on her mind..She could have a baby noe..Its time to stop worrying about her body,and focussing on the baby...Why throw your food up..When your'e pregnant,when your just going to gain weight being pregnant anyways.You can start noticing signs of being pregnant right away,i had the signs about 3 days after my missed period.Keep us posted and let us know waht happens..We are here for ya..<3god bless :)

Well thanx about the anerexia thing but the signs thing no... Its been about two week and a half and she still has had no signs can this be bad or did she have a miscarriage or what and the other day she was cleaning the bathroom and had a glass of bleach water and a glass of ice water by her and she accidentally drank the bleach water and we had to take her to the hospital. Could that have hurt the baby or not???? Please help

Well if she went to the hospital and you had a suspicion that she was pregnant than they should have done a pregnancy test. It is something to know any kind of chemical can harm the child. Some people don't ever notice signs until well into the pregnancy. As for the anorexia the baby need nuriousment to grow and develope properly with hold that and she runs a much higher presentage of miscarring. Has she missed a period yet? Until that happens I wouldn't worry about a pregnancy so much. I would focus on your girlfriends health.

Yeah she has missed her period but she also has missed if before and she was not pregnant how late should the signs for pregnancy come??? Cause it has been almost two weeks and not one sign has showed except that her period did not happen this month....We are going to take another test on the the 9th so we will see what happenes

Some women will never have a hpt show up positive, have her go to the doctor and take a blood test, that is the only way to know. My mom never had a positive hpt or any pregnancy symptoms with my youngest brother. The only way she knew she was pregnant was a blood test and having no period. Also I would be really concerned about her drinking the bleach. Im sorry but it sounds to me like she did it on purpose. Is she suicidal? I mean you would smell that when you put it up to your mouth, I just dont see a way of that being an accident and it doesnt sound like it would be. As far as her eating disorder. Tell her to stop being selfish and start looking out for her baby. Anyways it is actually worse for her seeing as how the baby will suck her dry for the nutrients from her .Ie. The baby will take the calcium from her bones if it is not getting enough, causing more harm to her. How does she feel about being a hunch back the rest of her life? Tell her to grow up, and get help.

Im sorry that you think she is being selfish or maybe suicidal but shes not. The comment about being suicidal is out of the question... I know she didnt try and kill herself cause I am the one who handed her the bleach water by accident... I had no clue that it was bleach water... She is also not being selfish... If you may had read above its called a habit almost like smoking do you understand now... I was a smoker a few months ago and I know how hard it is to stop... With any habit it will take some time... I know it is an addiction seeing as how my best friend and sister both had eating disorders. Lots of women smoke and when find out they are pregnant they quit. I to smoked and when I even thought I might be pregnant quit. I just hope that she gets the help she needs.


Also her being 15 and pregnant with anorexia can be so dangerous. Get her parents involved. I see now she is probably just immature. Therapy can do wonders.

No need for ragging but your comments are not helping... All you are doing is trying to make you look good and us like we dont know what we are doing we. I come for advice and and all I get is a health forum know it all your advice is plentaful but a little to irritating to take... Problems are problems that we can handle with advice and infromation...Not shovin caca in our face and telling us we are selfish and dont know what we are doing. Like I said before in the private message that I sent you, do not put yourself out there in a public forum if you do not want to hear advise from every angle, even if you may not agree with it. I think your girlfriend needs therapy. If like you said in previous post she is 14 has an eating disorder and is living with abusive parents while you two are trying to get pregnant there is something wrong with the situation. You two need to grow up and use protection. I personally think that 14 and 15 year olds have no business having sex, trying to have a baby so you can raise it in your parents house is irresponsible. Cussing me out makes you sound even more your age.

Some times when people are aneroxic there periods don't come like they should, has nothing to do with being pregnant

but if she is aneroxic she needs help

and she sure the hell better get it for that baby if she is pregnant

If you are pregnant you shouldn't even clean with bleach you have to use something more mild bleach is very harmful for the baby

To answer the question, yes an eating disorder can harm the baby, and sure as heck can hurt your gf - badly! The baby will be first to be fed then her which means nothing left for her! How long can a person live without food? You do the calculations.


Anyhow, my guess is she isn't pregnant if the disorder severe cause that would screw up her hormones totally and could make her unable to conceive for a limited time - or maybe forever?
I know this has nothing to do with your question, but considering the above things, don't you think the best you could do, even if it makes her mad, is get her help?
