Rythm Method??
Posted: 08-04-05 00:13am

I have been using the birth control pill for over 5 years now and I decided to stop. I wanted to start the rythm method but is it effective and how exactly does the rythm method work? How do I know which days are ok to have intercourse with my husband without getting pregnant?

You don't really. U can get pregnant at pretty much anytime, I did. If you really don;'t want to get preggers then keep taking some form of birthcontrol.

The optimal time to get pregnant is 14 days after your period. (on 28 day cycle) there are 5 days around the mid cycle to conceive. But just like the other writer said, you can get pregnant any time. More highly unlikely but possible. I think it is easier to conceive right after going off the pill too, for body starts releasing eggs again after a time of not releasing them. Maybe you release more or dont know when you release but I think it is easier

If you don't want to get pregnant then I suggest try another method. We were using the rhythm method and appearantly missed a couple of beats because I have 2 children. Lol
you can get pregnant anytime of the month but of course some times are better than others
