Getting Off Bcp And Going On Natural Estrogen/progesterone Posted: 08-04-05 12:09pm
I've been reading articles lately about
how women should not be on synthetic
hormones, like those in birth control
pills. I'm 46 yrs old, and want to
minimize any risk of cancer, yet be able
to handle the mood swings (and
insecurities) that go along with my pms.
Bcps help me to have fewer mood swing and
lighter periods, but I wonder if it might
be equally beneficial to go to natural
hormones. (i don't need birth control, bc
my husband has a vasectomy.)
i am a consultant for arbonne
international (plant-based swiss skin
care, among other items), and one of the
products in our line is natural estrogen
and natural progesterone cream, found at
www.Kellysanders.Myarbonne
.Com. A lot of women have used that
cream and absolutely swear by it. I was
considering using that cream too instead
of using bcps.
Can anyone tell me if going to the natural
hormones (for mood swings) is a good
alternative to the synthetic hormones in
bcps? Any input would be appreciated!
Thank you!!

Progesterone Cream Changed My Life!!! Posted: 08-07-05 11:46am
I went ahead with the plan to get off
synthetic hormones (my bc pills) because
they bad for us. I was close to the end
of my monthly pack anyway, and was already
experiencing pms symptoms. So friday, I
was experiencing severe pms symptoms like
a migraine headache, bloating, water
retention, and severe irritability. I
decided to not take my bc pill friday
night, but instead, used a natural
progesterone cream that I had purchased
from www.Kellysanders.Myarbonne
.Com. I used 20 mg friday night, and
immediately felt the pms symptoms
subsiding! I felt good enough to work
around the house friday night, and even
got some work done on my home-based
business! My pms symptoms were gone!
Normally, on a pms weekend, I would be
laying on the couch, nursing a migraine
headache, using ibuprophen and sometimes
pain pills to relieve the pain.
Saturday, I woke up and rubbed in another
20 mg of progesterone cream. I again
felt refreshed and energized. I worked
in the yard from 6:30 a.M. To 10:30 a.M.,
came inside and cleaned house, went
swimming, and read part of a book! It
was a very energized day, full of activity
and accomplishments -- nothing like a
normal pms day would be!
I can't attribute it to anything except
the natural progesterone cream! I am
taking 20 mg in the morning, and 20 mg in
the evening, and that seems to be
perfect!
Currently, I am reading a book by Dr.
John lee called "what your doctor may not
tell you about premenopause." it has
certainly enlightened my mind! I'm also
finding out that progesterone can actually
increase bone density! According to Dr.
Lee's book, if you are taking estrogen
(without progesterone), you under in a
very high risk for cancer. The estrogen
cancer-causing agents must be counteracted
with progesterone cream!!! This is very
important -- even if you don't have a
uterus! I would highly recommend reading
his book, and getting some natural
progesterone cream. Even if you are in
menopause, you may not need estrogen since
we get so much unwanted xenoestrogens from
gasoline fumes, exhaust, plastic bags,
petroleum products (including mineral
oil), red meat from cows from feed lots
(given estrogen to fatten them up), as
well as the milk coming from those cows.
Progesterone cream is needed to balance
out the large amounts of estrogen already
in our systems!!
I'm very happy to have my life back!! I
am now truly living that week out of the
month that normally I would be in
(practically) a vegitative state on the
couch, nursing my headache!
I hope this helps you!!! Try
progesterone cream, and see what I mean!
