Hey,

im only 20 and have the same problem and I have had no children. I am starting to get a bit worried. I sometimes find that when I wash my hands with hot/warm water after peeing I feel the urge to pee again.

Can someone please help us?!

Thanks for the reply! I checked out some incontinence website which outlined the causes of incontinence. They were as follows:

temporary incontinence causes:
- childbirth
- limited mobility
- medication side affect
- urinary tract infection

chronic incontinence causes:
- birth defects
- bladder muscle weakness
- blocked urethra
- brain or spinal cord injury
- nerve disorders
- pelvic floor muscle weakness.

I have only had this incontinence problem for a couple of months so i'd say its temporary, right? I dont have a uti and the only medication im on is the pill which ive been on for ages with no prob.
And if its chronic (which I dont think it is) the only thing I can think of would be weak bladder muscle or weak pelvic floor muscle - can u get that so young?

Any input in this matter would be much appreciated.

This can be a problem not only of the urinary tract but basic body immune system. It can be a result of all the reasons mentioned above and also a nervous system problem. Water intake and excretion is one of the very cardinal study in alternative medicines. From the very difficult urine therapy less difficult decoctions can help you to get more control over your urine excretory system. From exercising pelvic muscles to passing out urine in spurts after holding everythng will add to your strength. Please identify the exact intake which is the key trouble maker after some thorough study and observation.
Such diseases are clearly mentioned on many women disease related sites and slow and steady cure with self help alone will be a long term solutions with little or no side effects.
