Diaphragm Pain... Not Sure What It Is. Posted: 08-05-05 23:44pm
Well, i've recently gotten into cycling as
a new hobbie. The other day I was out
riding, and after awhile got suddenly very
tired. This isn't unnatural for me, as
i'd simply pushed myself to the limit.
Anyways, I went home and lay for a minute
before taking a shower and then making
some food. Mind you, this is rather late
at night and the food was pizza. The
problem you ask?
Well, you see... At one time I had an
ulcer in my stomach and it made it so that
I couldn't eat very "hot" food or acidic
food, i'm sure you all know what an ulcer
is, so anyways... The trouble is, i'm
eighteen and I love these foods. Now, the
problem.
I'm not sure if it's an ulcer, but there's
some pain that I cannot really describe in
any other words then "hollow hungry" pain
in my stomach right between my upper rib
cage. (directly center, to be exact.
Below my heart) it feels very weird, and
right now I don't have medical coverage,
so I need to know.. What do you all think
is the matter?
Should I pay to get it checked out or is
it a minor thing? If it helps, I drank
some water from a creek that I filled my
water bottle with... Might be something
from the water? But the creek was rather
clean.
Thanks for your time. And please help!

Definately get it checked out by a doctor.
I was having some severe stomach issue
too, and as soon as I went to the doctor
he figured out exactly what was wrong.
They may need to do a couple of
tests(blood, urine) to see what exactly is
wrong with you. Just be sure to find a
good clinic that you can go to. I dont
have insurance either, and it cost me
about 55 dollars for the doctors visit, 35
bucks for the urine test and 120 for the
blood test. It sounds a little steep, but
if you have a serious issue it would be
better to catch it right away.
Good luck!

"hollow hungry" pain. I started having
this problem 3 years ago and I have not
found an answer to any of my problems. I
have had several test but no definite
answer.
I am experiencing the exact problem...as a
matter of fact, I felt like I was writing
it...it is so similar to what I am
experiencing. I had gastric bypass 5 yrs
ago. and I am getting this hollow pain and
I feel like if I could burp it would
pass...but I cant do that. When I eat, I
cant' eat alot either...I feel pressure
and I have to eat extremely SLOW. I dont
have ins. either and I feel ok otherwise,
I am just curious what it could be...it
comes and goes. not persistant. If
anyone has a clue,,,,please post it...
