Anxiety Attacks And Wpw Posted: 08-07-05 15:19pm
Hi,
as you may have seen on a previous post I
have wpw syndrome. However recently I
have started getting regular anxiety
attacks, the first putting me in hospital.
After it happened a few more times I
went to see my gp to see what could be
done. She told me that normally I would
be prescribed anti-depressants, but as i'm
taking flecainide for the wpw (until I
have an ablaition in january) I can't take
anything for the anxiety attacks. She's
now referred me to a counsellor to see why
I get them, and hopefully sort it that
way. That's all well and good, but
that's not going to help straight away,
and i'm on an eight week waiting list. I
was just wondering if anyone knows about
anything I can do while i'm having one to
lessen/stop it as they usually take a
while and leave me completely drained of
energy after wards, meaning i've had to be
sent home from work a few times. This
just isn't practical. Any help would be
appreciated.
