Needing Help Posted: 11-23-03 18:20pm
I posted this in the e.D. Forum too, but
I just need someones help soon.
When I was 12 I developed and eating
disorder due to stress at school and the
custody battle that was going on between
my mom and dad. I got well and things in
the house were better until now. My mom
was diagnosed with bi-polar earlier this
year and last week she overdosed on
sleeping pills and has been at a
behavioral center since. Since then I
have felt the same feelings of ana like I
did before. I find it harder not only
because I love the control I have with it,
but because I also have ocd and find my
mind telling me that I have to do so much
of something before I can eat. Like I
have to run 2 miles, do 50 sits ups, etc
before I am aloud to eat or something will
happen to my sisters. I just don't know
what to do about these feelings. The last
time I battled with anorexia I hurt my
family so badly, but it felt so good to
have the control. I just need some help
figuring things out.

Hey
hey I was diagnosed with ocd in janaury
of this year and I know how u feel.. Are
u talkin any medication for it? I am on
celexa and it has done wonders for me.. I
still get parnoid and think that something
bad is always gonna happen... I think
your eating disorder is connected to your
ocd..If your not on meds I would strongly
suggest u talk to a doctor about them..
As for the eating disorder it is something
you can fight.. Dont not eat or purge its
not worth it.. Good luck

I just read a book called "kissing
doorknobs" it is about ocd. I dont have
it, but that book helped to me realize a
lot of things about it. I hope that you
are able to make it through...What about
like a doctor or something...Good luck in
everything that you do...I feel really bad
about your madre...
Loads of love, stacie

I don't take meds for it because it makes
me feel weird and not in control. I know
it sounds odd since ocd doesn't give you
much control but I feel like a robot on
meds. I am working really hard to fight
the e.D. Because I have had about a
million people tell me today that I am too
thin as is and that I have the 'perfect'
stomach. I just don't feel like I have
control over anything anymore. Well
anyway thats for listening and thats for
the replies! It means the world to me!
