My wife got a yeast infection last week
that continues to hang on some despite
being treated w/ over the counter
medication. Neither of us could figure
out the cause for it as she hasn't been in
contact w/ any of the normal triggers.
It's occuring to me now that antibiotics
sometime trigger one w/ her and i'm on
antibiotics. Is it possible that because
the medicine is in my system, that i'm
passing on some of their properties to her
and that caused the infection? Any input
would be appreciated. Tia.

Yeast infections are very common and
without underlying medical immune system
diseases it clears up pretty easy. Like
diabeties, hiv, cant think of any others
right off top of my head. There are
many.
I have diabeties and every time my sugar
is out of controll I get yeast
iinfections. Yogurt is a good natural
way to cure and prevent yeast infections,
or you can take acidophillis (dont know
how to spell it) by pills every day.
I guess it could be possible to "hand" her
some of the antibiotics in your system.
Usually they clear up nicely with one trip
to the pharmacy.

So if you have a yeast infection do you
need to get medication for it or will it
clear up by itself in time?
