a Quick Question Posted: 08-11-05 15:10pm
Hello,
i recently came down with a sore throat
(yesterday) and progressively through the
day I developed a fever. Last night, my
fever was 102 but today it is rather
normal at 98 and has remained normal. The
sore throat has primarily became less
sore, but the back of my throat has become
swollen and I have developed something
white on my tounge. The white stuff is
extremely thin and it doesn't hurt at all.
I only noticed it by looking in the
mirror. I have a significant amount of
mucus draining into my throat, but I have
rather complex allergies and deal with
some congestion pretty frequently. I am
wondering if this is serious enough for me
to go to the doctor. I have been taking
tylenol cold and flu since last night, it
has helped with the fever but not the sore
throat. Also, could this be the symptom
of anything worse than a normal cold.
