Can I Really Have Two Appendixes? Posted: 08-11-05 17:06pm
I had my appendix removed in 1997. I
recently had an upper gi. When asked why
I was having this done I explained that I
still have phantom appendix pain. The
raidologist said with a talking to a two
year old tone so when was this supposed
appendectomy done? Did they take the
appendix or just a piece or what did they
actually do nothing maybe? The results
are back and the report states that my
appendix is present. It stated to
confirm what I already told them that I
had an appendectomy and suggested that
maybe I was mistaken and it was just an
exploratory scope. I have the pathology
reports from the appendectomy and the
tissue received was my appendix. What
could he have seen that looks like an
appendix? Before you say yes to that
question it is possible to have 2, my next
question to that is wouldn't he have taken
both out at once?

At least wouldnt he have told you you had
another one?? Maybe it grew back.
Strange huh. Cant be any stranger than
women who have 2 uteruses. Or fetal
tissue growing again after meds to stop it
from growing.
