Hi
i have been on the depo shot for 2 months,
for a week I have been having brown/red
discharge, but now it is light pink, could
I have a urinary tract infection or could
I be pregnant?
I've had a lot of urinary tract infections
(when I was on ortho tri cyclen) and you
do not appear to have one. I've also
read about them and brown/red and pink
discharge is not a sign of it. If
you did have an uti you would have to pee
all the time but not be able to, and when
you did it would hurt a lot (and your pee
would be really dark yellow or orange and
cloudy or bloody). Your discharge
might be caused by using depo-provera, and
honestly I wouldn't recommended using that
as birth control because so many women
have serious problems with it and actually
want to get it banned. But it if
works for you that's fine. I would
talk to your doctor about your problem.
You could also have a vaginal infection
or maybe a sti. Do you use condoms or
do you and your partner get checked
regularly? You have to get check out
at least two times 6 months apart (since
it can take a while for things to show up)
before you stop using condoms and then
every year after that. But I know know
your age and the status of your
relationship. Most of the time I would
say always use condoms unless you are
mature enough and are in an extremely
serious and trusting relationship.
