So Far From Home, Advice? Posted: 08-13-05 18:23pm
Hey, i*m new to this board and wanted some
advice...
I*m 18 and just found out 2 weeks ago that
I was prego by taking an ept. I lived in
dallas with my husband for the last three
months and we are moving back to our
hometown in about a month. I started
taking women's once a day and a folic acid
supplement and eating lots of fruits and
veggies as soon as I found out. I*ve told
my mom back home and she*s really excited.
The question is, is it okay to wait till
I get back home to see a doctor? I*m
really nervous about all of it and I
really want to see my family doc...Any
advice would be appreciated!!Thanks

I would take some prenatals that you can
buy at kmart, walmart or target. I tried
taking one a days and my doctor said they
recommend pregnant women to take
prenatals. But waiting to see a doctor
should be fine until you get home. Some
women don't get into the doctors until
they are 2 or 3 months. If you have a
specific doctor in mind, I would contact
them tell them that you are moving there
in a month, that your on prenatals and
taking care of yourself and have them send
the paperwork to get you registered as a
new patient so you already will be one
when you get there and they might be able
to make your appt. Before you get home.
