I am 17 and my nipples stick out a lot and
I feel a lump behind it. Is this normal

If you think it's a larger than normal
amount of breast tissue, you could have
gynecomastia. Here's a site to check out:

extreme cases of people who opted for
surgery. If you have gynecomastia, you'd
most likely be in the very beginning
stage. The pics are of older men who have
had a lot more time to develop breast
tissue than you have.
On the other hand, if you are overweight,
it may just be fat.

It is not the whole chest part just the
area behind the nipple and the nipple it
self

I know what you're talking about, I never
had anything like that but my friend did
when he was a couple years younger than
you. He doesn't have it anymore and i'm
not sure if it was just a temporary thing
or if he actually had to go to a doctor
but he's 18 now and his chest looks
completely normal.
I'm not sure if you can take anything
useful out of what I just said, but if you
have what he had (which it sounds like you
do) it's clearly not anything serious, but
you may want to see a doc about it anyway
if you are worried.
