Q: My Best Friend Is On Pain Killers While She Is 8 Months Preg

My best friend had been taking pain killers as a drug during her whole pregnancy. I kno that this is very dangerous but what can happen to the baby when its born.. Please help.. I want to be able to show her this and show her I care. Im really worried.. :(

What she's doing is very stupid. As she is already 8 months along all the damage has been done. Her baby will mst likely be born addicted to the drug she is taking. There might also be health problems when he/she is born and/or further down the road. What your friend is doing is extemelly irrseponsible and how does she plan to cope with a baby while drugged up. She should be honest with her doc and maybe they can get her some help.

Now while I can feel for her using, but she should have told her doc off the bat, he could have helped her quit. Now she put not only herself in danger, but the child, if they find out she's using while shes in the hospital having the baby, the baby could be taken away...
