Destroyed Toenail Bed - Help With Camoflage?
Posted: 08-14-05 06:43am

Over 20 years ago as a young girl, I had continual problems with in-growing toenails on both big toes. After having the nails removed several times, the chiropodist advised me to have the nailbed destroyed to stop my nails from regrowing inwards.

This was an instant relief to the pain that I had experienced for several years.

My problem now is purely cosmetic, I feel totally embarrassed and am never able to wear open toed sandals. I have just tried using false nails with glue, & they look ok but only stay on for a few hours before becoming loose.

I just wondered if anyone out there has the same problem, whether there is any sort of plastic surgery available or very strong glue I could use, bearing in mind, it has to be used directly on skin?
