Q: Morning Sickness?

I'm just over 6 weeks and haven't had any morning sickness yet. I know I should consider myself lucky - and believe me I do! - I was just curious if its normal not to have it. Sometimes I do feel nauseous and dry heave, but I haven't yet thrown up. Is it normal not to have morning sickness at all?

I'm hoping that you haven't just cursed yourself hehe, I said the same thing to friends etc when I hit the 6 week point, and sure enough after a couple of days the nausea kicked in!!, I really hope the same thing doesn't happen to u, I really wish I hadn't said anything, this nausea is really annoying me, and its eating away at my appetite, so i'm really hoping it will pass at 12 weeks like everyone says, so I can start eating like I should without feeling sick all the time :?

Anyway u never know, u might be one of those lucky women!, hope so

xxxx

It has to do with the progesterone, and empty stomach they say on this one site. If a women can eat just little bit every couple hours it is better.

I haven't actually thrown up at all but feel nausea all day long. My stomach is really weak and I can only eat bland foods, but it hurts when i'm hungry and when I have food in my tummy, doesn't matter. I started this sick feeling at 6 weeks, now I am almost 8. I can't believe i'll feel this way for awhile longer. It is hard to get excited about anything when you feel like you have a flu that won't go away. I've lost 7 pounds this week, even though I eat 2 meals a day and crackers in between. I stopped prenatals for awhile, but am taking vitamin b6, it has helped a lot but still feel bad. At least with b6 I can get more fluids down. If it gets any worse I will try the presciption zofran, I 've heard great things about it. I know it could be worse throwing up all day, but I still feel like I am in hell. I just hope the baby is okay and it will all be worth it in the long run. It is also very hard not telling people the news when you can't explain why you are so sick. The watery mouth is the worst part I think, yuck.

I have a son who is 11 and when I was pregnant I wasent sick-a-lick....Well found out I am preggo again for the second time around in almost 12 years and let me tell ya.....I dont throw up but man does it ever feel like I could...Especially at night. I feel for ya because I am going through the same thing. When people say that every pregnancy is different listen to them because they arent lying...It is the total truth.........Good luck :d

Ive Got It Bad!!!
In my 20's I was pregnant 9 times, one molar pregnancy, 4 spontaneous abortions(miscarriages), and 4 live births, one of those died cuz he was born way to early.

I had day sickness with all of the children, from certain things id eat, but morning sickness only around 3 months for 2 weeks, in that time I only vomited one time in all my pregnancy's.

This time, I am 43 and I have been so sick, im 9weeks preg today. I have not vomited but came close a couple times already. My blood pressure is really hi though, could be causing some of the nausea. Never noticed until that girl says the other day its like a motion sickness that just wont go away and she is right. It has been bad for me. But go figure I have not had these hormones in production since my 20's. Lol

good luck all--hope it gets better for the ones whos got it bad--and the rest must be nice!! Lol

It isn't very helpful when people who don't feel sick reply to this, you are very lucky and i'm stoked for you but those of us who do feel lousy appreciate the support of others in the same boat. Of course we realize this is all for good reason and it so worth it, but ladies please don't reply with obvious comments. Some of us just want advise, remedies and feedback.

She asked me how my "high risk pregnancy is going" I was answering her.

What are you talking bout I just wrote a book about how the morning sickness is and its not so nice, and I feel pretty bad, so why you tell me not to say I feel so good, when you feel so bad. It is a chat forum. Doh

beside that I can say what ever I want---you dont like im sorry

first off, people who dont get sick have every right to post here... This isn't a "hey im sick, support me" thread. The original poster is saying she herself does not have any morning sickness and wants to know if this is normal. If anything us who are sick are the ones who shouldnt be posting here! She has many people giving examples of their own pregnancies... Some having horrible morning sickness, some having none at all, but in the end, having perfectly healthy babies. I am sure the original poster has no problem with people sharing their experiences and I am sure she appreciates it.

This is a forum for people to share, ask questions, get support, and enjoy their pregnancies together. If you have such a stick up your butt and only want to read solid answers, go find a medical book.

as for the morning sickness issue, dont count your blessings yet! Lol. You can get morning sickness a little later too... You never know when its going to hit and it could hit at different times for everyone. Unfortunatly, it hit me around 6 weeks and I am going on 9 weeks... 3 weeks of this is killing me, cant imagine going for another few months!

Geez ladies, relax. I wasn't replying to the origional poster. Wasn't tryin' to piss anyone off either. I was only looking for others with m/s that may have advise, not a pity party. Also, just because a reply follows below it doesn't mean it is directly at the person above or anyone inparticular for that matter. Sorry.
