I have depression and severe anxiety with
pannic attacks. For the past few weeks I
have had bad tension headaches everyday.
They tottally suck. I have them all day
long every day. I had a cat scan and it
was normal so its definately tension
headaches. The problem is that I cant
take meds like ibuprophen, alieve, or
excedrin because I have an ulcer. Does
anyone else have this problem and if they
do are there any suggestions?

Are you taking any anti-anxiety
medications or anti-depressants?

Thanks for the replys. I will try that
tenipue out. Yes I am on welbutrin for
my depression and anxiety. It seems that
I wake up with these headaches every
morning and they linger throughout the
entire day. I am hoping its not anything
serious.

Ok, the tension placed in between the
thumb and index finger has never worked
for me and i've tried it, had someone else
try it and even had a licensed massage
therapist try it. Didn't work.
What you might have is a classic case of
migraines which is swelling of the blood
vessles in the brain, no tension reliever
will help that. I too have an ulcer and
have frequent migraines. If you get
sensitive to light and sound and feel
pressure around your eyebrows and feel
like your eyes are going to pop out then
that is most likely what it is.
I can't take aspirin of any sort. And
when I was on an anti-depressant it
actually made the headaches 10 times
worse. I stopped taking them and they
came fewer and farther. The only
medication I can take and I can say has
100 percent worked for me was imitrex.
Within 7 minutes, my headache was gone.
Talk to your doctor and see if migraines
could be what you are experiencing.
Take care,

I have these headaches everyday and
beleive me, I have had them long enough
and seen so many doctors that it is
definatley anxiety and nothing else. My
worst symptom at the moment is throbbing
and an ice-pick pain in the left-back of
my head. The throbbing gets worse if I
exercise, or I get up quickly but I have
been told that I am perfectly normal, and
doctors therefore diagnosed me with
anxiety. After 8 months (or so) I am not
undergoing cognitive behavioural therapy
(cbt) and also trying out the linden
method. I would recommend seeing your
doctor and asking for some advice on where
to go from here...
Hope this helps,
james
