Stomach Bloating
Posted: 08-17-05 10:37am

I had a total abdomen hysterectomy in june. It has been 10 weeks and my lower stomach look like I am pregnant. It also feel like something is in there, especially when I first get up in the mornings. My doctor says its gas, however he doesn't think he should prescribe anything. I've taken gasx, with little relief.
Please respond if anyone has experience this problem.

Im sure it matters why they did the hysterectomy in the first place---could be having some of these problems from that. But I remember no ice, no ice cold drinks, no slushy, no ice cream. Maybe that is what is making stomach swell. When body is opened up--and intestines exposed to the air--things change and all I remember is what I said up there, it could be causing the bloated feelings. The musclles in the stomach are also involved may never work again like suppose to, so cant hold stomach in anymore either. This too will pass---or we forget to worry about it!!
If you know what I mean
