Will Aerobic Exercise Lower Blood Pressure? Posted: 08-17-05 12:12pm
My bp is like 122/90. Not real high yet,
but high enough to get my attention. I'm
wondering if I were to start doing aerobic
workouts for say 30 minutes a day, 5 days
a week, would that lower my bp?

Yes of course it will unless you're
extremely out of shape or on speed.
Lifting weights will also help and you
shouldn't just do one or the other. You
need anarobic and aerobic. You'll see
faster results and get your bp down much
quicker.

My doctor told me doing aerobic exercise
is much more important than doing
anarobics.

Your doctor is an fool. It's proven, why
do you think arnold got back from heart
surgery so quickly and got pumped to do
t3? He was also on roids for 15 years
and drank pretty heavily... Weight
lifting helps everything as well, even
though I don't think it's as important as
cardio(that just focuses on weight loss,
heart and blood pressure). If your
doctor said no weight lifting he's either
indian(they're against it) or he thinks
you might have an adverse reaction because
of your fitness level. I'm not even
talking about lifting heavy trying to be
christian bale in batman, just start out
light, do 15 minutes of lifting, 30 to 40
minutes of cardio and your bp will drop
like crazy. Your doctor mustn't have
been an athlete or cared about nutrition
biology or physical ed.

Hypertension24 said "on speed. "... What
kind of speed... Isn't adderall a
speed.... So since I take adderall (add
purpose) but I also run like everyday....
That means I still could have higher than
normal bp and hr??
