God Help Me!

I went to gp about 4 months ago after outbreak on both sides of my upper/inner thighs which he diagnosed as folliculitis. (after unprotected sex) I went on antibiotics and it mostly went away. The hair folliciles are still inflammed, is there anyway to make it go away completely so it's not contagious, because the bacteria that causes folliculitis is contagious. I was very worried, so I got tested for about every std test available and they all came back negative. I was swimming at the beach other day (may be irrelevant), and 2 days later there is a red "ring" "sore area" "irritated skin" around the outter portion of skin on the top part of my penis. I am uncircumcised. This nightmare gets worse ... I am further examining my penis and notice an olivegreen/brown line starting from about the middle underside part of the chaft extending to the bottom of the testicles, not in a straight line. Please help me, my mind is going insane. I've only slept w/ one girl in my life and all std tests came back negative afterwards.

Folliculitis tends to be managed and not cured.

I would suggest the following:

1. If you don't currently wear boxer under pants, then switch over.

2. Keep the areas that are affected dry. A corn starch based powder is better than ordinary powder as it tends to clump together and make things worse.

3. Try and get hold of microsheild-t which is an anti-bacterial wash used by doctors to clean their hands etc.. Between patients. Use it on the affected areas when you shower, leave it on for about 30 seconds and wash it off. If you cannot source microsheild-t then ask your pharmacy for a mild anti-bacterial hand/body wash product.

4. Folliculitis will often occur when your skin is very dry and cracked, so applying a mild skin care product can help alot.

5. Some doctors prescribe acne medications to treat folliculitis so keep that in mind as an option to discuss with your md.

The reason you had problems after the beach is most likely because of the excessive wetness in the infected areas. It is very important that you pat dry wet areas very carefully leaving no wetness at all.

Because you are not circumsized you need to make sure that you clean yourself very very very well. A lot of things can get under the skin and irritate or infect you. I think you need to go see a doctor.

I know that this is about you, but have you talked to the girl who gave it to you? She needs to know too. She needs to get tested and get treatment as well. If she is a good person, she will be more careful about her own sexual behavior and use protection everytime. She might not know that she has anything and be spreading it around.

I strongly agree with the others. I don't like a std can do that but on the other hand I could be wrong. I know when I was with my boyfriend angel he had the same problem you do. I am a women and I have experience in this field so hear me out. Angel didn't have a std but an infection that is his genes. His father had this but it goes away eventualy. Angels skin was sensitive so I had brought him some vaseline sensitive intensive care that cured the irratiion and the dryness. If you use power use corn starch only other will make it iche.

Hope this helps

Hey jason,
i totally agree with everyone here. My ex wasn't circumsized either, and he had the same as you. After sex, he always had to shower with antibacterial soap- everytime! He had a rash a lot, and did not have an std. Have you discussed this with your girl yet? At first when he told me, I was a little nervous, then I realized that it was okay, and that as long as we both follows the directions from the doc. Than it wouldn't "flare" up as often. If he did not wash after sex, than the bacteria would stay on his skin, and the next day he would wake up regreting that he did not shower. Now, sometimes this can be passed on to your girl and she may get a yeast infection. In turn she may pass it right back. So be careful.
I hope this helps, and I hope you don't mind that a girl read this and wrote back.?!

Sincerely,
marissa
