Well he isn't drinking his milk normal today..So I decided to try it. He had about 5 spoonfuls..( which I think is alot for a baby). We tried green beans. He made some funny faces, but he ate it pretty good for his first time. I just tried to give him a bottle and he is refusing it.... Why is he refusing his bottle all of a sudden?. He usually drinks 8 oz at a time, every 4 hours.

He is full. More food less milk!!! Food fills them up differently--especially if it is his first time. They usually like carrots and sweet potatoes best at first--then the green veggies--that is what I found out. Be careful with the fruits though, they will love it but it can easily give them diarhea.

Solids
I started my daughter on baby cereal at 4 months (about 2 years ago) they have since decided to tell mothers to wait 'till 6 months- but it didn't do my daughter any harm, and generations of babies were started on solids at 4 months, and none of their heads fell off or anything.

If he eats it and enjoys it, why not ? He seems to like it-5 spoonfulls !!!!
Offer it to him, and keep offering bottle as well-sometimes they just have a not very hungry day, and then an absolutle ravenous day. If he continues to refuse the bottle outright, or he seems grumpy and out of sorts, it might be worth having his ears looked at- sometimes, if they get an ear infection, sucking and swallowing causes some pain- and they'll refuse to take a bottle.
If he seems fine, then he probably is, you'll know.

My ped told me to start giving my son cereal 2 weeks ago (he was 6 weeks) he eats it right off the spoon and everything.

No sam 4 months is ok if they seem ready and hungry. Just check to make sure he poops! I hope he's feeling better today.
