Very Scared Posted: 08-18-05 18:17pm
Hi there, im 19 and about one month
pregnant, and im scared. I know nothing
about this and I dont know what to do.
Everyone keeps telling me that it will
ruin my life, I cant aford a baby, and im
starting to think there right. I dont
really have any income and the father
doesnt have much of an income, I dont know
how im going to aford a child. For those
of you with children, how hard is it to
balace out your life and actually have a
social life? I must sound totally
ignorant and for that im sorry, I just
really dont know what to expect. Any
advice is more than appreciated. Thank
you!

Hey sweety when I was pregnant about as
far along as you are now I went through
the same thing just about, worried how I
was gonna take care of it and how I was
gonna get to enjoy being young and my
friends and all of that stuff..... But I
tell you dont listen to them when they
tell you a baby will ruin ur life. My
little girl is the best thing that has
ever happened to me yeah its hard
sometimes and its not fun sometimes but
everybit of it is worth it. My baby will
be 1 in two days and once I had her all my
partying and stuff I didnt care about none
of that going out with my friends drinking
on weekends hanging out all of that doesnt
matter to me anymore. Doing the best to
be the best mom to my little girl is the
only thing that I care about anymore I
still have friends and I still talk to
people I go places every now and then but
thats my choice u can still do things and
have friends and go out and enjoy your
life even though u will have a baby. Just
wait til ur baby gets here ull know what
to expect and what to do.
You'll most likely loose all your friends,
but that doesn't mean you can't make new
ones.
You're 19 which means, when you have the
baby you'll get food stamps. It's not a
horrible thing. But you're still living
and will be able to support yourself and
the baby.
In my state (missouri) there is a
community for young moms who cant support
themselves, and there's houses they can
live in for 45 dollars a month, including
electric, and etc. You can also go on wic,
you'll be able to get
juice.Milk,eggs.Cereal etc while you're
pregnant.
It's going to be hard...I'm not going to
lie to you. But being a mother is an
awesome feeling. All the things you get
to experience. The heartbeat,your first
ultrasound. It's amazing.
