Bad Bowels?? Posted: 08-19-05 01:01am
I’m 19, a vegetarian (tho I do eat dairy
and eggs) and have, in my opinion, a
fairly healthy diet. I probably don’t
eat enough iron but I supplement with
vitamins.
My real question is, why, when I eat well,
do I never seem to have what is considered
as ‘healthy faeces’. I almost always
check, to make sure there isn’t anything
wrong with my waste. It’s often soft,
broken into small pieces, sometimes even
runny. There’s occasions where I have
to really push, though I try not to for
health purposes and then there’s barely
anything in the bowl, or it’s thin and
small...
I rarely miss breakfast, and definitely
have enough fibre. Could it be something
like irritable bowel syndrome? I don’t
really know the symptoms… it’s
probably about time I saw the doctor for a
general health check-up, but if anyone has
any suggestions, and hopefully nothing
that really costs money, cause i’m quite
poor atm.
Thanks to anyone who has any ideas.

I Feel the Same Posted: 02-01-06 15:31pm
Hi! It's been a while since you posted
your topic, but I am feeling the same way
as you! I am also a vegetarian and have
the exact same issue. It really isn't
fun, very painful. I am also wondering if
it is irritable bowel, and hjave been for
a while. It's nice to know there is
someone else out there who can relate,
though I don't wish this on you lol.
