Perineum Pain And More
Posted: 08-22-05 16:34pm

I am a 30 year old and have been having pain in my perineum for the past several weeks. I thought it was brought on by my bike seat, but I have not been out riding in quite some time and still have the pain. The symptoms started like a unrinary tract infection, but I have been to both a family doctor and a urologist and neither one found any sign of infection. Recently, I have been feeling pressure and the feeling of twitching or fluid moving in the perineum area. I also have dull pain after ejaculation.

Has anyone else ever had these symptoms?

I am a 19 year old male and have these same symptoms, especially when engaging in physical activity but am not sure what it's from. Just know you're not the only one out there with these symptoms. Good luck.

perineum PAIN
Posted: 07-11-08 20:05pm

48 yr old male who recently started having a very intense burning and painful sensation in my perineum, testes and penis. Freaking out, I went to an urgent care facility because it was something I'd never experienced before. The doctor put me on 28 days of cipro thinking I had a bacterial infection of the prostate. At 48 I could not believe I'd be having these problems but I dutifully took the poison and my symptoms eased somewhat, but did not totally vanish. The meds were brutal, sometimes I felt like I could not breathe, panic attacks, nausea I mean really bad, made it thru though. but the burning got worse when I finished the antibiotics! I had made an appt with my regular doctor after the initial diagnosis to let her in on what was happening with me. When I saw her 10 days after finishing the cipro, she checked me out, (Prostate) just fine, nothing abnormal and said she thought I had a yeast infection, never had one before! What do I know about yeast infection? She gave me Nystatin cream and it went away in 3 days. The first doc at the urgent care had me convinced this was the way it was going to be for the rest of my life pain ,maybe prostate cancer, I didn't sleep for more than a month because i just thought my prostate would have to be removed some day... just goes to show ya...get a second opinion. After all that...Nuts eh?

Perineum Pain when jumping and sometimes sneezing
Posted: 07-13-08 20:47pm

Unifier - Did you ever find out what was causing this? I have had the same perineal pain for the last 12 years. It happens when I jump if I don't absorb most of the jolt with my knees, and I even get it sometimes if I sneeze very hard.
I have asked my PCP a few times, but he does not seem to think it is anything to be concerned with.
Anyone have any thoughts?

perineum pain

I don't ever remember not jumping from something relatively high and not getting perineum pain. I always thought it was normal. However the last week I have had sharp pains in my perineum with a lot of lower across the back pain also. My urine which is normally light colored is now pretty dark. I have an appointment to see a urologist tomorrow. I hope he can figure it out quickly as the pain is at times relatively intense.
