Well I had an 11lbs baby and they never checked to see the weight until I was overdue and I had to have a c/s, if I where you I would tell this doc you dont want a c/s and that you want to be induced im ttc #2 and I know I will have another big baby and I am going to tell my doc I dont want to go over and have another c/s, im going to someone new this time, go to another doc if you have to, hope that helps some :)

First of all doctors or the techsd oing the u/s cannot really give you an exact weight of your baby. Its only an estimate. The baby won't grow that much in the last 3 weeks of pregnancy. The most it could gain is 1lb to 1lb 1/2. If by chance you do get wopper  and he or she cannot pass through the pelvic bone, then you might end up with a c-s. Good luck

I was worried about my first being too big.
I was measuring big, and they did an ultrasound around 30 weeks I think. They said the baby was quite big, and it was in the 90th percentile- bigger than 90% of babies of the same age.
I was freaked, especially because it was my first, and I spoke to the doctor about it, trying to determine whether they thought she was too big, and whether they would intervein. I don'[t have wht I thought was a good child bearing figure (lol) my hips are quite narrow- my shoulders are broader then my hips.
The doctor took one look at my hight, and the size of my hands, and decided i'd be fine. (i'm 5"8)
in the end, I went into labour prematurely anyway, and my daughter was born at 36 weeks and a couple of days. She was perfectly healthy, but weighed almost 7 pounds, and was 43 cm. Long. I gave birth vaginally. No stitches, no problems.
They can never tell exaclty how big a baby will be, or how big your pelvic cavity is until the last minute- if the have a good reason for thinking you'll have problems- like if you are 4 foot tall, they might decide to do something, but otherwise, they'll see what happens, 'cos they can always decide to do a ceasar while you are in delivery. Have an epidural, if you end up going into labour naturally- that way, if they decide to do it, you should be able to stay awake for it, and see your baby straight away.
If you have had no epidural, and they decide to do an emergency c/section. They'll probably put you under, cos it is quicker.

Either way, I strongly recommend the epidural- it is fabulous. I was able to enjoy the birth of my child, pain free, and wide awake.
I was numb from neck to toes !!!!! I also wasn't dilating very quickly befoe I had it- once they put it in, my whole body relaxed, and I dialated to like 7 cm almost immediately!

I docotrs are only estimating the size of the baby. Where I come from pregnant woman go to a pre natal clinic, and there is 5 different docs who work it. They rotate each week, so by the time you get closer to the end of your pregnancy, you would have seen them all.

Anyways, at the end I had one doctor telling me I had a small 6 lb'er..And another docotr a week later told me he was about 8.5 lbs...When I gave birth he was almost 10 lbs, and I did it naturally.

Depending on your body will depend on if you tear or not, so I wouldn't worry about it., my friend had a 5 lb 3 oz baby, and she need like 6 stitches, mine was almost 10 lbs and I had one stitch, and I know of a lady who gave birth 2 months ago, to a 12 lb'er and didn't tear at all.- it was her 4th child though.
