Baby's Weight By Month

I'm just wondering the ideal weight for a baby from months 1-12. I can't seem to find a user friendly website with a simple chart. Can someone help me out??

Are you worried about your baby is under or over weight? I was worried that my 2 month old ws over weight. He weighs 14 pounds and 6 onces, and the doc said that ws great!!! He is so chubby but a healthy beautful baby!!! How old is yours?

Got one on the way. I am just trying to find out as much info as I can before the little one arrives. Thanks for your reply, by the way. Can you tell me what month you started to show? I am just a few weeks along (still waiting my first visit to the dr) but I swear my pants already fit tight. Maybe its because i'm not too thin, about a size 10/12. I don't know. Any advice you have to offer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again.

Um...I started to show pretty early. I noticed a change in the way my clothes fit in the first couple of weeks also. I guess it was about the 3rd mnth when others started to notice. I was a size 7 to 9 before I got pregnant and now (2 month post partum) i'm a size 12. When is your first appointment?

I started to show when I was about 5 months! But im a bigger girl also and didn't put on weight until 6 or 7 months then I put it on quick. But 2 months after I had my baby ive already lost almost 50 lbs and am below my pre pregnancy weight. Reccomendation: if you want to get rid of the excess fluid fast...Drink apple juice...It helped me alot. I dropped 30 lbs of fluid w/ in a couple of weeks. By the way, unless your baby is going to be really big i'd reccomend buying at least a couple premmie outfits. My baby weighed 7lbs 6 ozs and was 20 inches long and she was too small for newborn clothes even the onesies were too big. She grew out of the premmie stuff in about 3 weeks...But still it was better than her clothes falling off. They typically lose weight after they are born but start gaining it back and gain about an ounce a day. My baby is 9 weeks old now and is about 11lbs 6 ozs.

Good tip on the buying preemie clothes!! My son was 7lbs 10oz 20 inches long and all the newborn clothes were to big for him also. I don't know why all the newborn clothes are made so big!! My son is 3months now and weighs 16lbs 23inches long!! So, yep...They grow sooo fast!!!

I don't really have anything to say about weight or anything like that. My daughter is almost 4 years old, I can barely remember what she weighed at birth (just joking I remember that much). I just wanted to right, and say, I love hearing new mommies or mommies to be talk. I remember when I was pregnant, and I had no idea aboutt this site, I wanted to talk about my pregnancy and my new born all the time, and nobody really wanted to hear about it or they got tired of hearing about her. I love hearing those stories, they bring back good fuzzie memories.

Yes I do plan on having more. I always wanted for but my fiance already has 3 so it looks like i'll be having 5. He's over seas right now and will be back in march, which is when we'll be trying to have a child.

I'm sorry to hear that he is over seas!! That must be hard on you!! I can't wait until I can plan to get pregnant (in about four years). Let us know when you get preggy. 5 kids aren't bad...Some have like 20!! Lol!!
