I have been severly anxious for such a
long time,
what's the point of carrying on?
Even if I get over this anxiety, from what
I have read
my health will have been destroyed
permenantly and that
is why I don't see any future...
Should I just give up now?

Why would your health be destroyed? Once
you get over anxiety, you're just back to
what you were before you ever had it only
you'll be able to handle stress better
than the average person. Some people
think anxiety disorder was a blessing once
they get past it. It sounds stupid but
you'll actually be bored once you've
figured it out because you're used to
being "up" all the time and when you
aren't anxious for the 15th day in a
row......It can be boring. After you've
spent so much time worrying about anxiety,
you sit there and say.........Ok, now what
do I do? I don't see how it destroys your
health.

I don't know...From what i've read anxiety
can permenantly destroy
your health and cause heart disease and
stuff...That's why I feel hopeless.

Actualy, I guess you're right...Sadly I
can't see any end to my anxiety, which I
am convinced is something more serious
anyway...I can't even remember what it was
like before all this even started
anymore...Sigh
i'm frustrated I didn't sort it out before
it got this bad

you seem like you panic over little
things. When this sort of thing happens
to you just stay calm for a few minutes.
And the best thing I find when I start to
panic and have anxiety attacks is listen
to some music. It always makes me feel
better.

My grandmother had severe panic, worry,
anxiety and all that her whole life and
lived to be 79. The doctors said her
heart was healthy and everything was fine-
she ended up dying of a car accident.

Thanks for all your replies, i'm feeling
slightly better now,
if I don't worry and relax I normally seem
to improve a bit.
