My nose bleeds almost every day for no
reason. Anyone know what could be causing
this?

Mine does this too but usually only in the
winter months when the weather is dry.
Never fails, every morning when I get out
of the shower... I've never been to the
doctor over it only because I know it must
be weak veins and I don't want to have
them coterize it. I'd rather live with
the bleeding!

Coterization Posted: 12-02-05 21:56pm
I had severe nose bleed's daily when I was
about 15 years old. Sometimes it would
gush for hours and it almost led me to the
hospital a few times. After seeing an
ear, nose, and throat specialist he
decided to coterize. I didn't really
know what was coming but before I knew it
he was sticking something sharp up my nose
to cause the bleeding to start and the
rest I remember was just a lot of pain and
blood and the Dr. Getting very irritated
because I wasn't sitting still enough.
You try to sit still while blood is
running down your face and into your
mouth. (i even spit a little on the
Dr.....Grosss!) anyhow, needless to say
this was a painfull and somewhat traumatic
experience. However it have been almost
a decade and I have never had a single
nose bleed since then. So, if your nose
bleeds are significantly getting in the
way of your life you may want to consider
coterization. I guess you just have to
way the pros and cons.
