I got off depo in november of 04 and have been bleeding for months straight (and like full on heavy periods.) maybe one or two days off.

I went to my gyno and she didnt seem worried. Ive heard it takes up to 1 year for your body to regulate after depo.
Good luck, trust me it sucks.

Also I only had two shots of depo, so it wasnt like I was on it for a long time or anything.

Do u guys know if you can get pregnant when you first come off depo. Beccause like vanessalouanne I only had two shot and I also bleed only for three weeks with only one or two days off. That was june 2005. However for about a month now i've been having little pains in my stomach along with changes with my breasts such as tenderness and enlargement but my areolas, or rings around your nipples, lighten, nausea, fatigue, frequent urination, headaches, dizziness, backaches, lower abdominal cramps, excessive salivation and my period is late for aug everything expect vomiting. About 3 weeks ago I took a pregnancy test and the results were negative. However the pain continue so I went to the doctor 08/19/05 and explain to her everything that has been going on so she gave me an urine test and again the results were negative. She gave me so antibiotics for the weekend so when I went in yesterday she wanted to give me another urine pregnancy but I couldn’t go so she recommended that I have an ultra sound of my kidney, bladder, and stomach for kidney stones but there wasn't anything wrong there. So when I find someone to take me back to the doctor I am going to get a blood test. Someone told me that it sometime take longer for women to show with a hpt than others

I doubt your pregnant. I mean it is always possible but when you get off depo you have really bad side effects. I thought I was pregnant all the time when I got off because my hormones were so out of whack. I now have unbelieveable teanderness in my breast, I feel nautious all the time, and am really tired and im not pregnant(seeing as how I am always bleeding), it is just my hormones that are still messed up. Im telling you depo messes you up for a long time..Even after your off of it.

Getting Off of Depo
Hey girls!

I was on the depo shot for 3 1/2 years. I changed to the pill for all of 2004 and immediately went back to my regular periods. In january, I stopped birth control all together. I got pregnant in april. Everything is normal for me. I really think every woman is different. I have heard lots of horror stories, but not too many like mine. I think it is definately possible to get pregnant right away. In april, I felt pains in vagina (kind of like period cramps) so I really thought I was going to start. My boobs hurt, but that's normal when you think you going to start too. Turns out, I was pregnant. We are so happy. We decided to have a baby (and start trying) at the beginning of april and by the end, we were pregnant. Don't loose hope.
