Ok I think I had a miscarriage about a month ago. But was wondering I should be about ten weeks pregnant if I took a pregnancy test and it came out neg- is there a chance that it is wrong. I am so lost I don't know what to think. I had went to the dr and all he did was listen for a heart beat which there wasnt one but he said that usually you wouldnt heat them so early so there was no reason to worry unless we couldnt hear it next time. There was no exam or anything just put me one vitamins. He wasnt the dr I had 1st so maybe he doesnt know anything about my bleeding. He couldve just look at the pg test I took about 6 weeks ago. I have taken two test both neg- so does that mean the baby is gone I am calling my dr in the am but I thought I could get some advice now. Thank you to anyone who has some input.

I'm sorry for what you are going through.

The hormone that makes a positive increases every day during the first few weeks of pregnancy, reaches a peak at about 9-10 weeks, and then gradually tapers off, so much so, that you will probably get a negative result for the later part of pregnancy- the same hormone is linked to morning sicknes, which is why women are told they can expect to feel better by 12 weeks- becuse the hormone levels out by then.
So it's possible that you are still pregnant, but it's only a really slight chance, and with the bleeding and everything, and no heartbeat.... It doesn't look good. I hope I am wrong though. Do you still feel pregnant?

Ask for an ultrasound. Then you'll know for sure.

Good luck.

Pg Test
Yes I did have a pg test actually both urine and blood the both were positive. I just dont understand why now the test would say neg- if the hormone stays in your system for awhile. The test was a first response. I just dont know what is going on and I know I need to talk to a dr which I will in the am but why is this happening. I thank you for any advice!

It does tapper off though. Id definately talk to Dr. At nine weeks it is not common to get the heartbeat yet, though sometimes they do, by 13 or 14 which should be next visit it will def show, if not they will do u/s to find out why. Why you do nuther preg test? Do you not feel preg anymore?

I hope it all turns out good. Im praying for you

Wait on!!!

When you started bleeding did you go to the hospital to get an ultrasound to confirm a miscarriage?
If not you could have experienced implantation bleeding :)

i started bleeding and I was sure I had a miscarriage but I didnt bother going to the doctor or anything so I spent 11 weeks not know wether I was still pregnant or not only to find out at 16 weeks when I got sick that I was carrying twins!!!!!

Anything is possible, and I mean anything :)
