It depends on which kind. There are
cholesterol polyps and cancerous polyps.
You are probably referring to cholesterol
polyps. They are caused by excessive
cholesterol in the cells beneath the
lining of the gallbladder. My Dr.
Described them as small stones attached to
the gb wall.
