O gosh girls...I am 30 years old and this is my 2nd pregnancy. I am about 8 weeks along and let me tell you I have terrible sickness, especially at night time. I am so afraid to eat anything for fear of throwing up. I havent thrown up as of yet but boy do I ever heave! Anyone out there going through this? Lets go through it together! Lol now I have tried crackers before I got out of bed and the whole nine yards....It dont work! Anyone have any good suggestions for morning sickness and night sickness? Its so bad I am thinking about quitting my job for the time being, I work in nursing at a hospital. Please talk to me girls! :d

I am just starting into my 7th week. The nausea has hit! I thought I might get by without it, since I hadn't had it yet and I didn't have it with my first one, but boy was I wrong! I have night sickness as well. I am fine in the mornings, but come between 4 - 6 pm that is when the nausea starts. No throwing up, just a constant nauseated feeling like I could throw up at any time. This usually lasts until bedtime.

I have also had horrible acid reflux from the beginning. I can't call it heartburn, really, because it doesn't settle in my chest. Just acid that travels up into my throat. This could be due to my diet, though, too. This is my 3rd pregnancy (will be the 2nd live birth). With this one I am craving spicy food like pepperjack cheese, and taco bell's mexican pizza.

So far the only thing I have found to help me with my night sickness is to keep sipping water, and to eat small meals and snacks throughout the day, especially when the sickness hits. Nibbling on cheese and crackers seemed to help. I also read where ginger and lemons can help. Gingerale, ginger capsules, etc. True ginger. As for lemons sucking on fresh lemons (envisions face puckering, yuck!) or sipping lemonade. I haven't tried this out yet for myself.

Oh, and believe it, or not, having sex has seemed to help me, too. I think only because it helps to take my mind of the nausea...Lol.

Haha I am in the same boat as you girls!

At around 6 weeks I started getting sick... But never in the mornings! I am 8 weeks along and still, mornings are okay for me, but nights, forget about it.

Sex also keeps my mind off being sick too... I think its just because I am occupying myself lol

My first due date according to the computer calculator was april 18th. The health dept. Gave me the same. Then when I spotted the Dr. Gave me april 17th. Now, after the 2nd sonogram to follow up on the spotting the doc now says april 23rd. so I guess I will have the baby sometimes the 3rd or 4th week of april...Lol.

Yes, we are due around the same time. We are also about the same age. I turned 30 in august. I have one daughter who will be 14 in december. I had her when I was 16. This will be my actual 3rd pregnancy, but what will be hopefully my 2nd live birth.

Girls......Help I am still sick! Seems like it isent just at night anymore. Now its all day long. I am in misery so bad. I just lay on the couch and moan like a big baby! When food crosses my mind all I get done doing is dry-heaving. This is so gross!!! I am so sick and tired of being sick and tired! I am to the point where if I eat I know I will dry-heave so I try to cut down what I eat and how often. I work in nursing and sometimes its all I can do to make it through the night. I work 2nd shift and I am on my feet for 8 hours and its hard work. Sometimes I am mandated to come in and work an xtra 4 hour block. Dont seem like much I know but when your pregnant and sick thats another story. Guess I just want some pity lol!

I tried the lemon thing the other day. I was out and about when I started feeling nauseated. I stopped at a station and bought minute maid lemonade. Made from real lemon juice concentrate. Not only did it taste good, but my nausea was calmed. So you may want to try sipping on lemonade. Just make sure it is made with real lemons, and not the fake stuff.

I usually eat three meals a day with a snack here and there in between if I feel hungry. I have noticed lately that eating a big meal brings on the nausea more. I am getting ready to switch my eating habits to smaller meals throughout the day. My doc suggested like 5 - 6 small meals throughout the day instead of 3 big meals.
