Obese Pregnancy? Posted: 08-31-05 09:25am
Hi!
My friend is obese and married for 2 years
now. She is trying for a child. She
conceived and had a miscarriage at 5 to 6
weeks. She is still trying but to no
avail.
How are her chances of getting pregnant
when she is obese?
Is it dangerous to be pregnant while being
obese?
Would having a miscarriage, mean she will
have another miscarriage if she tries to
get pregnant again?
She is very worried and needs help.
Does anyone have any idea? Has anybody
who is obese and pregnant given birth to a
healthy child? U know of anybody who is
pregnant while they are obese? Any health
risk?
Pls reply soon!
Thanks alot!

Hello I am considered morbidly obese
pregnant 2 years ago she is a very healthy
baby I was also was gestational
diabetes.I'm pregnant again and I weigh
more than I did with my 2 yr old. I know
I will have gestational diabetes and there
is always a chance of problems ocurring in
the pregnancy because of my weight. My docs
are very good and they answer my questions
they tell me all the risks when obesity
and other health problems are involved.
Your friend needs to find a doc she trust.
I wish your friend the best.

Hello
well its different for every person my
sister is morbidly obese and she had 2
very healthy pregnancies no complications
at all but me well I seemed to have
everything go wrong in both pregnancies my
first preg 13 yrs ago twins :d had
emergincy c section at 27weeks, had
miscarraige 3yrs ago,and then my 2 yr old
who is healthy but I was a diabetic during
my preg which docs say I could have c
section if baby is to big which wasnt the
case had her vaginally. The docs
sayc-section is a very high posiblity with
this preg and if I dont control my
diabetes that the baby can have health
problems. The best thing to do is talk to
docs and find the one that will support
you and be there for you. If you dont
like your doc that only causes problems
for you and your preg.Hope you the best
