How Long to Get Pregnant After Being On Birthcontrol Shot
Posted: 09-01-05 14:11pm

I have a question. About five months ago I quit going to get my birth control shot and I was just wondering how long it takes to become pregnant after not being on the depo shot. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The one thing I would say to you is be prepared to be very patient!!
I've been trying for almost 16 months now although I have been assured it 'normal' to take up to 2 years after coming off the injection. Every woman is different so what may take me 2 years, you could get preg in a matter of months. I have also found out that apparently the length of time you have been on it has no affect on the time it can take you to conceive.
I would also look into ovulation testing which could give you a good idea if you are actually ovulating.
Good luck hope its been of some help!!
