I posted awhile back about the fact I was
having some bloating and a very strange
early, light period.
I've talked to a few people about this,
and they're just as confused as me. It's
been about four weeks now, and i've taken
a hpt but it's saying negative. If I
remember my last normal period correctly,
then my "missed" period would have been
about... Two weeks ago according to the
calander.
I've been having nausea every day that
varies from light to so bad I can't get
out of bed (which I only get rid of if I
eat something), bloating, back pains, and
my breast are tender. According to my
friend who's a big pregnancy buff, she
said all of what seems to be pregnancy
symptoms are right on track.
There's a flu going around, but my
symptoms differ from what my family's got
except for the nausea. My sister, whom is
the only family member who knows about
this has two children and said she didn't
have symptoms until much later than i'm
having them. Previously mentioned friend
said that every woman is different and on
top of all of this, this has been on my
mind and i'm noticing every little change
in my body and my sister might have never
noticed her symptoms this early because
she was never desperately trying to get
pregnant (both children unplanned).
Could I be just sick and not know? I
assumed maybe my brain was making me sick,
but now that it's getting worse, i'm
starting to wonder. Could I be pregnant
and am a case where I have to wait longer
until a test shows positive?
Should I schedule a doctors appointment?
I was going to just wait until I should be
having another period, and if it doesn't
start, then go... But this uncertainty is
killing me. I refuse to do anything i'd
normally do (take certain medications,
ect) because i'm worried i'm going to hurt
a baby that may or may not exist. Please
help!

If you are happy about being pregnant then
don't worry either way you need to
remember more or less your last period
date and when you could be expecting your
next and then we can take it from there.
Only based on what you're wrote you could
very well be pregnant let me know

The problem is, I don't know if i'm happy
about it or not... I haven't been ttc or
anything, and i'm not involved with the
father. I love children, though, and have
always wanted my own.
The last period I had, I remember ending
right before a birthday party I went to.
I tried figuring this in my head, and i'm
thinking it may have started around the
14th of july, which would have ended a
week later and just before the birthday
party that was on the 23rd. (i remember
this only because I kept hoping it'd end,
because I didn't want to be worrying about
bleeding through my clothing at a party!)
it's not really that i'm worried, i'm
really mellow about it... But it'd be
nice to know if i'm going insane and am
just sick with a flu or if i'm indeed
pregnant. I'm trying not to worry,
because I don't want to stress myself
out... But the not knowing thing is
really annoying! (everyone knows where
i'm coming from on this, eh?)

If your period was around the 14 of of
july this could very well be the best time
to test. I think you might be pregnant.
Do you feel different? I'm asking b/c I
also had my last period in july and by
august I felt very different. I starting
cramping earlier then usual and then when
my period did't show it all made sense now
i'm expecting my 3rd child. Do you
remember when you could of conceived? Try
this site it helped me figure this out
alittle...
I bought a test the other day and used it,
but there was no line that I could see in
the result (line in the control though).
I'm assuming I should just wait it out
until my period doesn't come and then go
to the doctors, because frankly I don't
have the money right now to keep buying
tests. (i just got laid off from my job)
i feel totally different, but various
people (my sister who has two children and
a friend who has no children) have been
telling me i'm feeling things too soon,
and that i'm probably sick with the flu.
My dad and sister just got over their
flus, and they lasted about a week and a
half, i've been sick for atleast two weeks
(but have felt 'different' for three).
Then there's my friend who says all my
symptoms are right on schedule and i'm
feeling them because this possible
pregnancy is on my mind, and normally
women don't just assume they are and won't
feel the symptoms until later and when
they start missing a period.
If I am pregnant, the baby would have been
concieved the first weekend of august. I
had a very short, light period the
following tuesday that lasted only two
days.
My normal periods are the middle of the
month, and last a week. Very heavy, with
only one light day (right towards the end)
-- my periods have been this way ever
since I started when I was twelve. The
only change my period's ever had was when
I was on birth control due to a problem
with very heavy/painful periods, which was
two years ago (i only took them for three
months and never bothred to get a refill
because I wasn't having problems
anymore).
So this "mini-period" was atleast a week
too early.
I have heard (but don't know if it's true)
some people who just can't get results at
all on hpt, could this be the case?
Should I go schedule an appointment at the
doctors or wait until my september period
doesn't show up?

You might want to try getting a
quantatative hcg blood test from your ob.
This can tell you if you are pregnant and
how much hcg hormone is present. I was in
your same situation. My period was 2
weeks late and I felt some pregnancy
symptoms but all home tests were negative.
I had a blood test done and it showed
only 6.7 levels which was about 1 week
along. That is why it didn't show on the
urine tests ( not sensitive enough).
However, 5 days later I miscarried-
started cramping/bleeding lightly (more
than spotting). The bleeding lasted 6
days and had I not had that test I would
have thought it was my period being late.
So- there is a chance you are pregnant but
not enough hormone to show. Once I
started to miscarry all my pregnancy
symptoms went away (tiredness, headaches,
cravings, etc) good luck!

Well I have one thing to say... I dont
think tender breasts go along with the
flu! Lol
i would definitely try to get a blood test
from your doctor to see what is up.
Atleast the doctor can help you figure out
whats going on!

I was told i'm probably "starting my
period" and that's why my boobs hurt, but
my period is two weeks late and i'm not
due another one until the 13th-15th of ths
month.
The thing is, all this bloating and
"boobie pains" aren't even normal for me
if I am starting my period. I don't feel
anything before I start, I wake up one
day, notice some very light blood, and
within two hours it's full flow. The
only cramps I get are within the first two
or three daysof my period. >>
i don't know, i'm just really confused.
This whole thing is not fun... If I knew
if I were or if I weren't, i'd know what
to do. I'm assuming at this point, I
should just make a doctor's appointment.
Question though. A friend told me I might
not be getting any readings on my
pregnancy test because I haven't been
peeing a lot. I don't have any frequent
needs to urinate, and on top of that I
drink a lot of water (atleast I think I do
for how much I actually go pee!). I've
never tested with "morning's first" ...
This makes sense, right?

Well most of the hpt will spicify on the
box not to drink alot before testing b/c
it will not give you an accurate testing
result. I guess the urine is diluted
some with alot of liquid intake.

Hmm, nausea, breast tenderness,
exhaustion....
Not common symtoms of insanity as far as I
know !!!!!!!!
Unless you're hearing voices?? Howling
at the moon ? No? :) :)
try first thing in the morning test, and
if you still get a negative, and still
have no period, go see the doctor.
If you are like me, and can hear a
pregnancy test calling out to you from the
second you buy it, and you can't make
yourself wait 'till the next day to test-
collect your first morning urine, pop it
in the fridge and then go buy the test-
the urine should keep for a couple of
hours at least.
When we were ttc, I must've bought like 10
"two test" packs the first month( I was
two weeks late too) after, like two weeks
of being a test junkie, and probably 20
nagative results, I gave up.
I got pregnant the next month.
Good luck !!!!!!!!

I was going to schedule my doctors
appointment for the blood test this week
and all of the sudden today I started
bleeding really lightly. I still feel the
same, bad nausea and all that stuff so on
the way out the door I put on a tampon and
went "guess i'm not pregnant then~"
well, I had noticed that my tampon had
been in for 6 hours, so I changed it and
to my surprise, there's just a tinge of
brown dried blood and no blood on the
tisue when I wiped.
Is this normal? Should I still assume
there's a chance?

Im sure you are and lite spotting or brown
blood is very common in early pregnancy.
My daughter and I had to wait until 7
weeks (3 weeks past missed period) to find
out we were preg. To get + test

Okay, i'm starting to have a light flow.
No normal period symptoms like my cramps,
but every few hours I get a flow. Nothing
that fills a tampon, and it's bright
red.
