Hi, if somebody could be able to read through this story and maybe find a solution it would be really appreciated.

Me and my girlfriend, both 17 years old, had sexual intercourse on 18th august and after a while I took my penis out and then afterwards the condom came off. To my meory I touched it with my hand and without thinking a few minutes later I fingered her for no more than a couple of seconds.

This got both of us quite worried so we both went to a pharmacist and had the morning after pill for her. She took this, around 24 hours after we'd had sexual intercourse. Things have seemed fine since then with typical symptoms shown such as tiredness and breast soreness and some abdominal pain (which quickly disappeared).

So from the just presumed it was the pill doing its job. But recently in the past week she's been getting more worried due to the fact shes had no signs of a period yet shes had period pains. Is this normal? And today she has mentioned to me that her breasts are very sore and increased a bit in size.

Would be grateful if anybody could supply a reponse about anything that could be going on with her? She doesn't expect her period just yet but does very soon but no signs at the moment of her period.

Anybody able to help please?

The earlier the morning after pill is taken the more effective it is. I think you might be okay, she might just be pmsing, but if her period doesn't end up coming then I think you should take a hpt test just to be sure.Alot of things can delay a girl's period, like stress.Are her periods pretty regular?

i think she should be ok too but the period pains worry both of us as shes never had them before without having her period. Her periods are normally 28-31 days but she has had some stress through worrying about all of this and exams a couple of months back.

Not to scare you, but before I knew I was pregnant I had all my normal symptoms I always get a week before my period: cramping, craving chocolate, face breaking out. Another thing is the dog kept sniffing me, wouldn't leave me alone.

So since I had all the premenstral symptoms as usual I expected my period, but was also suspicious of the possibility of being pregnant because of the dog. Well, come 2nd week of august and no period. I tested positive for pregnancy within two days after my period was supposed to start.

If she is late for her period I would go ahead and take a pregnancy test. However, please note that every woman is different. It is not uncommon to get a negative result if the pregnany hormones haven't built up enough in her system. It is unusual to get a false positive. If you get a negative result with the test, wait 3 - 5 days, and test again if she still doesn't get her period. Or, for more accurate results she could get a pregnancy test done at a clinic by doing a blood test instead of a urine test. The blood test is more accurate.
