Q: Chemical Pregnancy?

What is a chemical pregnancy exactly? I miscarried at 1.5 weeks along. It never showed positive on a urine test, only on a blood test- my hcg levels were very low. My first pregnancy was perfectly healthy, normal and to term. What would cause this? And how long should I wait to try again? The bleeding was mild and last 6 days.

Chemical pregnancy: its where you test positive for pregnancy but you start your period a few days later! They are actually common. 50-60% of 1st pregnancys end in a chemical pregnancy. I would wait atleast 3 months to try again. Sorry this happened to you!
