I had a miscarriage about 2.5 months ago.. They gave me a d&c.
2 weeks later I went to the doctors and the doctor said that I was ok... She didn't even do an exam... There was light bleeding and then the bleeding stopped the following day... For 3 weeks I had no bleeding... ( oh yes I was taking bc pills the few weeks after the d&c) it was time for my period.. And it was almost a week late..
Now my period is here and it goes in and out... Light and heavy.... And it has been about 3.5 weeks and I need to know if anyone has had anything similar happen to them... I feel like the bleeding will never stop... Oh yeah.. There is also lots of hours of cramping.... And I feel that my miscarriage has made my health drop because I can't seem to stay un sick.. I have been having colds every other week.. And I am having to miss work too much.... If anyone can give me advice for any of these it will be great... Thank you !!

It sounds to me like you might have an infection--although I know that is why we get d&c to prevent infection. Please either go to emergency or go to new dr--since doesnt sound like yours is listening. Do it as soon as possible, tell them what you told us. Especially how your body seems drained and weak. And of course the 3.5 weeks bleeding off and on not normal unless you were like 8 months pregnant when you miscarried

D & C
I had two d & c's done last year in august & then again in december. I had two really awful miscarriages last year, and I went back to see my doctor after two weeks and he examed me internally to make sure that all was well. With the first d & c I bled for about 14 days and then my period came back 6 weeks later. With the second one I bled for about 11 days and then I had my period 6 weeks later as well. I only had cramping the evenings of the d & c's and maybe two days after that, but then I was okay and the beeding wasn't even all that heavy really. I think that you shud have been examined internally just to make sure that all is going well. I hope that things work out gud for you though.

Hi,i'm going through nearly the same thing i lost my baby two months ago and went for a scan and they said everything had gone, after that i bled for two weeks and i was loosing really big blood clots and they sent me for another scan which turned out that it had not all gone and i had 5.2cm tissue left inside me so the following day i went for a d&c which i bled for three weeks after, then came the period or so i thought i've now been bleeding for two weeks and still loosing really big clots the doc has put me on tabs to stop the bleeding so fingers crossed it works,i think you should go to a different GP and get them to look at you again and demand something is done,i wish you good luck and hope it all gets sorted out for you.take care of yourself.x
