gallbladder problems!

Hello ladies and gents!

My name isn't really kitty--but i'll tell you what I am: (sense?): i'm an almost 19 year old girl who apparently has gallbladder problems! How...Attractive!

It started about 6 years ago..And ever since, about 4 times a year, i'd have these strange pain attacks. They'd start in the pit of my stomach (or so I thought) and continue through to below and including my right shoulderblade. After reading your comments..It sounds pretty textbook to me!

A few days ago I slept in the emergency room after taking 2 tylenols, 2 tylenol #3's with codeine (from a dental prescrip.) and 3 shots of toradol/demerol (?-i think). I was in agony, rather. And even now..5 days later..I still feel uneasy.

I had a ct scan where they said that I have gallbladder "sludge"..Again.."attractive". But don't really know what else.

I'm having an ultrasound on the 6th..So..2 days from now. I don't really know what to expect. My mum had hers out in her 20's...And my doc says that there is a somewhat genetic possibility (see "pima indians").

Anywho..I'm nervous about eating. The thought of fried food..'fries' my innards. I've been eating plain/whole wheat/ pasta, because it doesn't hurt to think about.

Any diet tips from the professionals (aka: you!--who have experience.)for an aching heart...Err "gall"??

Love/kisses/good luck...And let's see if this thing is going to stay with me or get surgerized!
