Im 28 and a nurse but im a huge hypo. I
am all the time feeling like something
wrong. I shake, chest pains, dizziness,
sweating and hot flashes, chest palpations
you name it I have it. I have a 5 yrs
old and an 8 month old. I am so scared
that I am going to have to go into the
hospital and seek medical attention and be
away from my family. My husband is

I don't know how to help you except to say
that I was and still sometimes do go
through exactly what you have discribes
and it is anxiety. Hard to beleive that
our heads can make all these symptoms feel
so real.
Have you been and seen a doctor? How
long have they been occurring? Mine
started when my daughter was 8 months and
I returned to work fulltime. It is hard
to juggle working and being a mum.
My husband too doesn't understand when I
had 'a bad day', he tries but people that
don't suffer from anxiety can't
understand.
I am subscribing to the linden method.
Once I have started the program I will
post on here if it was worth it or not!
Take care and try (easy to say) to relax.

I have shaking, chest pains, shooting
pains down my arms, palpitations, panic
attacks, feeling of imminent doom like I
am about to die or soemthing really bad is
going to happen, I get dizzy, lightheaded,
nauseous.. And its all been going on for
months.
Tell your husband to read this forum and
see that many other poeple have to deal
with it and that its not your fault. Its
a medical condition and it cant be helped
wihtout time... Help him understand, dont
just get frustrated that he doesnt
understand, peopole have no clue what
anxiety does to poeple so let him read up
on it. Take care and remember, you will
be fine.. Its all in your mind in the end
and will get better one day,

I have dealt with this for 9 yrs now, but
the last 2 months it has gotten alot
worse. I am currently on paxil and it
use to help but it isn't now. I also
have been taking xanax at night to help me
sleep but its not helping too much. I
actually go to see a neurologist this
thursday, so hopefully it goes well.
Thank you so much for replying.

Panic attacks are caused by a rush of
adrenelin at an inappropriate time. Your
body just releases adrenelin for no good
reason and then you have the "fight or
flight" feeling ie; a panic attack.
One of the first things you need to learn
is "belly breathing" so that you dont make
it worse. Hold your hand on your tummy
when you breath and when you breath watch
your hand on your belly move in and out.
If you breath high in your lungs, your
diaphram will lift and put pressure on
your lungs making it feel like you can't
breath, making it worse.
Panic disorder runs in families and can be
dibilitating. It won't go away, you need
to learn how to control them so that they
don't control you.
Also try "ones" bgreathin and say out loud
"one" breath out slowly. Inhale and say
out loud "one" do this ovr and over and
you will find yourself relaing and the
panic should subside.
I take zoloft and valium. I don't like
the meds for various reasons but I cannot
help thati have this disorder and I try
everything I can to keep the meds intake
to a minimum and try to control panic
attacks with relaxation techniques.
Good luck. I know how miserable these
panic attacks can be. Many times I
thought I was gong to die or I had
suicidal ideation. Fact is I don't want
to die, but when that adrenelin releases
into your body, you have to know what to
do to control it to some extent. It can
cause other problems such as phobias, etc,
like not wanting to leave the house, stop
driving, etc. It can cause you to become
very mentally ill. Please learn how to
control it so itdoesnt control you.
