I am only 24 but all my life all I have wanted to be is a wife and a mother!! Finacially and emotionally my partner and I are not ready to start a family!. You see the problem is I found out about 2 years ago that I have endo and my left ovary has pretty much kicked the bucket! Also my partner doesn't want children till hes atleast 30.
The idea of never having a child scares the caca out me. I go month to month hoping that I don't have my period (never use protection and not on the pill). I just wish the thought would just go away! Thinking about it makes me sad and it putting a strain on our relationship!

Has anyone felt like this or been in my position?? Need some words of wisdom!!!

Even though I don't have a problem with my overies I always had this thought in my mind that I couldn't ever get pregnant either. I had been with an ex for a while off and on (like 3 years) and we rarely ever used protection and I never got pregnant. And I know it wasn't him because he already had 2 kids. After we broke up for good I was with a couple other guys and sometimes condoms were forgotten and I had a couple of scares but nothing ever happened. Although unlike you I wasn't ttc but the thought that I couldn't have children did enter my mind until 9 weeks ago when I found out I was pregnant. Before I was kind of worried that it would happen but after awhile when nothing did I just put it out of my mind and didn't think about it and thats when it did happen lol. So I think the old cliche saying is true when you least expect it and aren't trying it happens.

Maybe you're "trying too hard". I know its easier said than done but just stop trying for awhile and enjoy it being just the two of you cause once that baby comes things that you could do now (going places alone, quiet nights, etc) are gone. And even though you'll love your child no matter what it's going to be a lot different than it is now so I say it enjoy the freedom while you can.

My History
I know how you feel! It's a scarry thought, I hav that thought every month. Not only that but I have only been pregnant once and lost that pregnancy to miscarriage. At first the thought of having to adopt made my sad and angry but now my husband and I have decided that we will adopt if we cannot have a biological family. You can raise the baby from being just days old and keep in mind that many many women do not breast feed, so feeding the baby a bottle is very normal. I don't know if I helped or not.

Adoption is a wonderful thing. No one should look at it negatively. It is a great feeling to know you can give a child a wonderful life. Most childreb jump to different foster homes and dont have a permanet home. Or they are treated like a pay check. There are people who do foster homes just for the money and dont give the children love. You can change a childs life completely, just by giving them your love. My husband and I decided that we would definatley adopt if we could not have children. Even if the child was 5-6 years old. I know it is sad and upsetting not to able to have children but think what you could do for a child who is not wanted. Picture that.
