I am so depressed at the moment and dont
know what to do ive been with my bf for 5
years now and have been trying for a baby
for 4 years he already has 2 older
children from a previous marriage as he is
alot older than me I feel that my time is
running out. I am only 25 and have
dreamed of becoming a mother for so long,
I work with babies all day as I am a
nursery nurse and it kills me every time I
pick one up I want it to be mine. I feel
so unhappy and it is getting in the way of
my job and my relationship. I am very
overweight and feel that this could be my
problem even though I have tried I cannot
loose weight and are spiraling deeper into
depression any advice would be greatful
thanx

Have you talked to a doctor about this? I
had a friend that has been married for
approx 5 years and had been trying all
that time. They went to the doctors for
test, they tried everything known to man
and finally she had a little girl back in
may. You just have to put your situation
in god hands and he will take care of you
& your future baby. Good luck and
keep us posted!!!

As a " big " fan of the larger ladies I
have had a tendancy to misplace the baby
batter. I mean, have sex once in the dark
with one and it's easy to slip slim willy
into the adjacent and numerous... Rolls.
My advice, get youy co-ordiantes straight
and stick it where it counts.

I know that it is harder to conceive if
you are overweight. Maybe that can be
your inspiration? Think your doing it
for your baby. Stay away from caffein,
have your partner drink a lot and im sure
it will happen soon
good luck!

My husband and I have been trying to get
pregnant for 3 years now. I have gone in
and out of depression. Right now I am at
the is there really a god stage. I just
watched my 15 year old neighbor bring her
baby home. With all the babies that are
addicted to drugs or killed then there are
respectable people like us that would do
anything to have the it's a baby sign in
front of our house. I find it alot easier
to get depressed then to think about it at
all. But then I remember why I want to
have a baby and what a baby means to me.
I am going to keep trying and make it
happen and so will you. I listened to my
two years old neices this weekend and they
made a lot of sence in just saying to each
other
you can do it! Just belive in yourself it
makes everyday a little better.

I think that if you wana get pregnant so
much your body stresses itself out when
you have sex.
Relax and enjoy sex dont think oh I hope
this one will get me pregnant
just go with the flow and it will happen
naturaly.

i too want to have a baby. We have been
trying for 5 months and nothing yet. I
have pcos (poly cystic ovaries) and
understand that this could make getting
pregnant difficult. I am not saying that
this is your problem but it may be worth
checking into. Some of the symptoms
include: over weight, loss of hair or male
pattern baldness, irregular or no periods,
facial hair or hair on chest or back. If
you have any of these symptoms, you should
talk about it with your doctor. There
are medications to help control your blood
sugar levels because people with pcos are
insulin resistant. Let me know. I just
thought I would throw it out to you. I
was looking at fertility monitors today
online and I am thinking of buying one
they are 179.00 right now at cvs plus the
test strips but really if it helps me get
prego than it is worth every penny to me.
I was reading the reports on the
clearblue monitor and they were all really
good. You might want to check them out
too. Okay best wishes to you and keep me
posted. Maris

Thank you everyone who replied especially
maris , I too have alot of the symptoms
you have and I havnt yet been to my doctor
could you explain what it is a bit more
and what the machine does as I am so
desperate to have my own baby. I know
exactly what one of the replies meant by
how it seems drug users and underage
children who dont even want children get
them, I myself have a not 1 but 2 sisters
who got pregnant at 15 and did not want to
they wanted to be out with thier mates.
My older sister has had both children
taken away from her as she can not look
after them and my younger sister left it
up to me and my mum to raise her little
boy who is now 6 and about a year ago she
thought she was ready to actually start
being a mother and now she is pregnant
again just like that, sometimes things
just seem so unfair as I have been tryin 5
year and they didnt even want children and
now have 2 each whats that all about.
Anyway thanx 4 all the support I wil let u
all know how we get on luv 2 all macala

Hello!
Okay so I went to cvs and bought a
clearblue fertility monitor. It was
expensive but I have read really wonderful
things about it and if it helps to get me
prego than it is worth every penny. The
monitor was 200.00 and the sticks for
testing are 50.00 for a 3 month supply.
Every morning you test your urine.
Everytime you test it tells you how
fertile you are and the best days to have
sex to conceive your baby. This helps
with people like me that are irregular by
a few days or a week every month. It is
so hard to tell what day your are
ovulating if your period is irregular.
The monitor detects a rise in hormones
prior to ovulatuion which is the best time
to concieve a baby. The other type of
ovulation kits you can buy over the
counter dont detect a rise in hormone
levels until after you have ovulated,
which most of the time is too late. I am
really excited. Wish me luck. I will
keep you all informed. Hugs - maris

Wanting a Baby

Hi. My name is jessica and I am newly
married. I too would like a baby and go
through similar pangs of agony when I see
a baby or a pregnant friend. It seems
everyone is pregnant....Except me. My
advice for you and your boyfriend is to do
something that doesn't have to do with
conceiving or babies. Take a walk in the
park, go to the movies, go to a museum.
Do something that you would enjoy as a
couple....That maybe you have enjoyed in
the past before trying to get pregnant.
Maybe going out for dinner or even having
a candlelit dinner at home woud be the
perfect thing. If you want to tone it
down some rent some movies and order
take-out. Who knows what will happen
when you relax and get close to him.
Enjoy yourself, remember to breathe and
laugh. Have fun and good luck.
