When Should I Test Again? Posted: 09-06-05 14:51pm
Well I have been having preg symptoms for
about a week now but I thought maybe it
was period. I have done several hpts and
they are all negative. My period is
three days late. I was having symptoms
like my period was going to start but now
they have stopped. Now I just feel
really tired and my breasts hurt. I
have had a lot of discharge but no blood.
I was thinking of taking another test but
im tired of waisting money on those
expensive tests when they come out
negative. Can anyone tell me when the
next good time to test would be? Should
I go ahead and wait and see if I miss my
period all togeather?

This is just my opinon, but I suggest you
d go to your doctor and have them take a
blood test. Sometimes it takes a couple
of hpt's to show the real results, if not
then wait about a week and try the hpt
again! :) let me know how it goes..

Thanks for replying so fast. I have an
appointment with my doc on thursday. I
dont know if they will do a blood test
though. Usually if they do one they just
do a urine test at my docs. I will ask
if they can do the blood test though.
The only reason im in a hurry to know is
cuz I am on a few medications that I dont
think you can take when you are preg and
if I am I dont want to hurt the baby. I
am starting to wonder though if I am just
stressing over wondering about being preg
and making my period late. Time will
test I guess

If you can do without the med then I would
hold off till you know for sure if you are
preg or not. That way no harm to the baby
or you. And I would also start taking
vitamins

I know what you mean but its not a drug
that I can just stop all the sudden. It
is welbutrin and im on a pretty high dose.
If I go off of it suddenly on my own it
could be really bad. I can stop the
prevacid that I take for acid reflux I
think. Then I am on synthroid for low
thyroid and im not sure if you can just
quit that or not. I guess I can stop my
birth control pills though. I have my
doc appointment on thursday. Surely I
will be ok till then. I keep thinking my
period will start anytime but it sure
hasnt. My husband doesnt think im preg
but I dont know, I sure feel different and
no period yet.

Ok you are right. I wouldnt stop
welbutrnal but I would the bc oh yeah I
wouldnt the thyrod either. Just stop the
bc you should be fine till thursday
