you can see its head on the left, and a
little hand on the bottom, its little
stubby feet on the right, so cute!
Nothing can compare to hearing your baby's
heartbeat for the first time, nothing!
It was also moving and wiggling so much...
I can't believe how active it is! It
just amazes me!
Due date is april 6th :d

Well done you !!!
Isn't it great to hear the little beat
!!!
That's interesting that you know the heart
rate, because, apparently you can tell the
sex of the baby by the bmp. I forget what
rate means what, and it's probably not
100% accurate- but it's fun to speculate
!!!!!!
You should be able to find out the numbers
on one of those online gender prediction
quiz things.
Have fun !!!!

Congratulations!!!
Its an amazing experience isn't it!, I had
my first last week (12 week), I expected
it to be a cool experience but never
expected it to be so incredible!. It puts
your minds at rest doesn't it?, seeing it
move, seeing how big it is etc!
I was lucky as my doc was able to record
everything onto video, so i've spent the
whole weekend showing off my ikkle man to
the whole family! :d
i heard bout that old wifes tale bout the
heartbeat rate showing the sex, but in my
case it didn't work, because it said that
a rate of 140 or higher means its a girl,
my babys was 160 and we saw clearly that
he is an ikkle boy!!! :d . My hubby had
always said that if it was a boy, we'd
find out early hehe, said he'll be like
his dad
now i've got to wait about 5 weeks till
the next time I see ikkle one  am
already getting impatient hehe.
Anyway congrats!! And btw I couldn't see
your pic either :(
if not, copy and paste it, in the babyboo
album is a couple of fotos of me and my
boy
xxxxxx
you are so pretty--ooohhh!!!
And you saw sex at 12 weeks--thats
wonderful, pretty early huh?

Congrats pa! I will have my first
ultrasound on the 27th. I can hardly
wait. So far I have only had two
sonograms. My other half's father
actually gave him the day off, so he will
be going with me for this one. Yeah! I
just only hope everything is developing as
it should be: 10 fingers, 10 toes, etc.
I guess that is a fear any mother has.

Thanz for the compliment fatfamily!!!!!
Yeh I guess i'm lucky that I already know
what i'm having, my hubby had asked the
doc if everyone could see the sex of their
baby as early as this, and he said
(slightly showing off I think :d ) it
depends how good the doc is at manovering
the baby etc. It was really strange the
way he did manage to turn the baby around
so he could see both sides, and so we
could see baby from different angles etc,
I think thats the difference because he
managed to get to the trun the baby so we
were actually looking between its legs, so
it was quite obvious he was a boy hehe.

sweetie, ur doc is a quack then, and you
saw the cord, genitals develop at 12-13
weeks. So, you can't see it. Doctors can
only give you about 80% at 16 weeks. Most
doctors wont even give a guess at 12
weeks.

Have to Agree Posted: 09-08-05 09:29am
Sorry annarella I have to agree with
seksihily. My dr told me the same thing
that the genitals of a boy dont grow
untill 12-13 wk. So I had my sonogram
when I was 18wks and it was a girl.

Hiya girls
i was kinda waiting for someone to say
that my doc is a quack haha, u can ask
your doctors all you want when they can
tell the sex of a baby etc, I know my
doctor, and I trust him. It is certainly
not the first time he's told someone what
their child is this early, my sister in
law for one, and he was right.
Don't ask me why all doctors don't tell u
so early on, because I don't know, maybe
they are not practically good enough (as
my doc had to move the baby around to
different positions to get a good look at
him), or maybe people have always got to
know at around 16-20 weeks, so the docs
are more concentrated on the other baby
aspects, like trans nuchal etc, so they
dont bother wasting time looking for the
sex.
If I could I would prove to u that my doc
is right by letting u see the dvd of my
scan, where u can see clearly that between
his legs that it is no cord unless its a
cord is only mm long and wide, considering
baby is only 4.5 cm long!
Anyway those of u want to believe me can,
and those who wish not to, don't, am not
that interested (but it does seem to me
that the only person who has said that my
doc is a quack seems to be the same person
that has caused trouble (maybe using wrong
word there, but if u have read other
threads where this person has wrote her
opinion, u might agree)
try checking out more sites on pregnancy,
and u'd see that the external genitals
have clearly developed in 11 week
if that link doesn't work, try cutting and
pasting it.

Annarella, hey I agree with you I saw my
baby when I was 14 wks along then he went
back when I was 18 wks and sure enough he
was right I am having a girl. So I
believe you but I dont think that they
were saying they didnt believe you just
that they thought your doc was a quack.
Just remember its your dr so they dont
have to believe you.

Thanx angel!
I know they don't have to believe me, I
mean this is the internet, unfortunately
theres no way of knowing if people are
telling the truth.
Maybe they weren't saying that they didn't
believe me, but there are ways of saying
things, unless i'm 100% sure of something,
I never say something is or isn't right,
because I am not a genius or a know it
all.
How can a normal person with (i believe)
no expert medical knowledge say that a
doctor is quack, just because they
themselves have never heard of someone
being told the sex of their child at 12
weeks!.
It would have been enough to say 'i've
never heard of someone finding out so
early, are u sure?' or something like
that.
Anyway I know my ikkle boys a boy and
thats all that matters :d, right angel!

Did u pay attention first of all I said
that it forms at 11-12 weeks. Which
webmd supports, but doctors will not give
you a definite, I said it as a warning to
not go out a buy a bunch of boy stuff,
like I said there is no way a doctor
should be so confident of the sex at 12
weeks. If you knew someone would say
something why not say that you believe
him?
No medical knowledge, is that why im going
to med term in about 3 hours?
And Dr. Spock (who I believe does have
medical expertise  ) says "on
ultrasound, if your baby is cooperating
and is positioned in a favorable way, his
or her sex can be identified as early as
the 16th to 18th week of your pregnancy."
http://www.Dr
spock.Com/article/0,1510,5276,00.Html
angel~ at 14 weeks it is very rare, and
nearly impossible, but has happened
before. And as you said yourself you
were not given a "its a girl" 100%.
